During a Monday night game, Shareef O’Neal, the son of Shaq and one of the highest-rated recruits in the nation, took a very scary fall headfirst onto the court.

Going up for a layup after having already scored 31 points, Shareef found his legs tangled among the players below him. He then fell violently to the court without bracing himself in any fashion.

A loud “crack” occurred when the phenom hit the ground. He was taken out of the game and put into concussion protocol. He’ll miss Tuesday’s game to rest and recover.

While finishing the season at Crossroads Highschool in Santa Monica, Shareef has been ligthing up his opponents before taking on duties this fall at the University of Arizona.
