UCF Knights To Hang National Championship Banner After 13-0 Season
The UCF Knights are serious about this.
Next Monday night will feature the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Georgia Bulldogs for the CFP National Title, but there’s already a school out there that’s claiming that win for the 2017 season.
Just two years ago, the UFC Knights went win-less throughout the entire season and the program needed a change, big time. Enter Scott Frost who took the team from a 6-7 record during his first year to a 13-0 record this season.
UCF athletic director Danny White was so hype about this year and how it turned out that he told 96.9 the game that he plans on adding a banner at Spectrum Stadium to crown his team the real National Champions.

After a 12-0 record and claiming the AAC title, the team was only ranked as high as 12th in the final CFP rankings, leaving them nowhere near the top four that earned playoff spots. The biggest bragging point for them is how they beat the Auburn Tigers on New Year’s Day, a program that defeated both the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide.
