Gruesome Video Shows Shaun White Smashing Face on Half-Pipe; Required 62 Stitches (VIDEO)

If your stomach is weak and you don’t enjoy watching people bleed profusely from their face, you may not want to watch this.

While training in New Zealand back in October for the upcoming Winter Game, snowboarder Shaun White smashed his face while doing tricks on the half-pipe. White, who won gold at the 2006 and 2010 games, was bleeding out from his face onto the snow as other snowboarders rushed to his aid.  He was eventually taken to a hospital where he required 62 stitches to repair injuries to his lip, nose, and forehead.

White told USA Today that his health is “great” and he is still expected to attempt to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games in PyeongChang. He’ll have two more opportunities to qualify before the games begin on February 9.
