Louisiana Tech Player Ejected For Blocking A Shot, Dunking, & Being Happy About It (VIDEO)
If you’re one of those people who can’t stand referees who try their best to make themselves a part of the game, then you’re going to hate this next story.
The name Jacobi Boykins probably doesn’t ring any bells around the country, mainly because he plays for a small college in Ruston, Louisiana. The Louisiana Tech guard was recently having a good game against UNC-Charlotte when the refs decided to end his night abruptly.
Boykins is the type of player that can pull off dunks like this in transition with ease:
Against UNC, Boykins jumped so high in the first half that he blocked an opposing player’s shot with his elbow. No foul, clean block, but he blocked it so hard that he received a technical foul for it. HUH???
Here is his first technical. For simply blocking the shot. No personal was called. Just a tech. For blocking it too hard I suppose? pic.twitter.com/xBSMAotoO8

As you can see, he blocks the shot, doesn’t look or say anything to the opponent, but still receives a technical.
It only got worse in the second half when he stole the ball and ran the length of the court for a huge dunk. He smiled briefly at his opponent, received a second technical foul, and was ejected from the game.
