Alabama Fan Arrested for Trying to Smuggle Cocaine Into County Jail in a BIBLE (PIC)
Alabama fans have been the subjects of a lot of negative stories lately. But at least this story doesn’t involve racial slurs or somebody getting shot. It’s about an Alabama fan named Jolona Nicole Lambert who tried to smuggle cocaine into jail in a bible.
Lambert, a resident of Corinth, Alabama, placed cocaine between pages of a bible and glued those pages together. Then she tried to bring the bible into the Alcorn County Jail over the weekend. However, sheriff’s deputies discovered the coke, and Lambert was arrested and charged with introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.
The sheriff’s department declined to say how much coke was in the bible or how big the bible was. It’s also unclear if Lambert was trying to a give the bible to a personal acquaintance who was in the jail and desperate for blow, or if she was part of some larger drug smuggling scheme.
What we do know is that Lambert mentions the bible in several places on her otherwise threadbare Facebook profile:
I have to admit, I’m kind of surprised the officers discovered the cocaine. Either Lambert was seriously wigged out when she tried to make her delivery, or smuggling cocaine into jails in bibles is more common than I realized in rural Alabama.
