Deion Sanders Warns QB Prospects About Playing For Cleveland Browns (TWEET)
The Cleveland Browns may look to be on the verge of turning things around thanks to some impressive offseason acquisitions, but there’s at least one NFL analyst who isn’t buying the team’s revival.
On Tuesday, NFL Hall of Famer and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders took to twitter to provide all of the quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft class with a stern warning: DO NOT GO TO CLEVELAND. In fact, Sanders went so far as to suggest that the players should “pull an Eli Manning” and refuse to play for the Browns if they’re drafted by them.
Here’s the tweet:

For those who may not remember, Eli Manning was selected by the San Diego Chargers with the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, but he had already told the team he would not play for them if they picked him. As a result, the Chargers were forced to trade Manning to the New York Giants for Philip Rivers (who was selected fourth overall in the 2004 draft) along with a couple of draft picks.
Will any of the quarterbacks from the 2018 draft class pull the same maneuver with the Cleveland Browns? Or will the Browns’ stout offensive line, along with the likes of Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry and Carlos Hyde, be enough to convince them that Cleveland is ready to turn things around?
I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
