It takes a ton of food to feed Hafthór Björnsson, the man who plays Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on Game of Thrones. In fact, if you sit down and do the math, it takes two tons.

The 6’9″ 400-pound strongman competitor eats approximately 13 pounds of food every single day. That works out to 4,745 pounds of food over a span of 365 days.

Want to know what it’s like to go grocery shopping for Björnsson? We’ve got the video for you. Powerlifter Matt Wenning recently joined champion bodybuilder and powerlifter Stan Efferding on a little shopping trip to Costco. Efferding is a nutrition consultant for Björnsson and fellow strongman competitor Brian Shaw, and he was in charge of buying all the food the two would need during their three-day stay in Columbus, Ohio, for the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic.

The shopping list? It included 15 steaks, 24 burgers, a giant box of egg whites, four dozen eggs, and an entire cart full of fresh veggies.

Take a look at the video and see if you can guess the final sale price:

That $850 may have included a mini fridge and a couple of high-capacity rice cookers. But all that food is just to feed two dudes for THREE DAYS.

The Mountain won $72,000 for winning the Arnold Strongman Classic, but his grocery bill for the year must total somewhere in the $20,000-$30,000 range.

That’s just insane.
