Johnny Manziel Looked Pretty Awesome in His Spring League Finale (VIDEOS)

Johnny Manziel played just okay in his first Spring League game last week, going 9-for-15 with 82 yards and one touchdown to go along with three sacks and one fumble. It certainly wasn’t anything for NFL scouts to get excited about.

Now, Manziel’s second Spring League game? That’s a different story. On Thursday Manziel reminded everyone why we used to call him Johnny Football. He connected on 80% of his passes for 145 yards while scoring two rushing touchdowns in the first half.

Here he is on the first possession of the game, throwing a bomb downfield while on the run for a gain of 50 yards:

Manziel then capped off that drive with his first touchdown run:

His second touchdown was even more impressive. This time he had to escape from the pocket, stiff-arm a linebacker, and dive just inside the pylon:

Manziel’s outing wasn’t perfect. He did throw a pick in the second half. But the improvement from game one to game two ought to convince some scouts that the raw potential is still there.

Maybe “ComebackSZN” is going to happen after all.
