WWE Legend Jerry Lawler Reveals He Recently Had A Stroke During Sex
Jerry “The King” Lawler is an absolute legend in the sports entertainment business, but it almost came to an end back in 2012 when he went into cardiac arrest live on air during Raw and received medical treatment at the announce table next to the ring.
The wrestling legend recently revealed he had yet another health scare just three weeks before WrestleMania 34, when he stated he suffered a stroke while having sex with his partner Lauryn McBride.
Speaking on his Dinner With The King podcast, King stated he and McBride were “expressing love for each other in a certain way”.
“The King said: “I got up and I said something to Lauryn and I didn’t really feel anything, and she said ‘what did you say?’
“And I realised then that whatever I said didn’t sound right, and then she looked at me – we made eye contact – and she said ‘oh my god Jerry, go look in the mirror’.
“I walked around to the bathroom and I look in the mirror and the whole right side of my mouth is drooping all the way down to my chin.”
Lawler quickly realized he had lost the ability to speak and needed help quickly. It didn’t take long for doctors to discover that the wrestling icon had a hemorrhage to his brain and he was placed in an intensive care unit. The incident reportedly happened on March 21st and he could not speak for two whole days.
