John Cena Made Nikki Bella Sign Contract Stating She Would Leave His House Immediately After A Break Up
John Cena is a straight savage.
A few days ago, the wrestling star and Nikki Bella called of their relationship after they got engaged at WrestleMania 33 last year. In order for Bella to even move into his house while they were dating, Cena reportedly made her jump through hoops and sign an insane 75-page contract that described her as a ‘guest.’
“In 2013, Bella moved into Cena’s massive Florida home, but it wasn’t without a catch — Cena had his girlfriend sign a 75-page cohabitation document before she set up shop in the home.
The agreement, documented on an episode of the E! reality series Total Divas, stated that Bella would have to vacate Cena’s home with her belongings as soon as possible if the pair split.
“I just don’t understand it. I just don’t know what to feel. I’m so confused,” Bella said on the show. “It kind of makes me second-guess where John and I stand in our relationship. I love John but maybe he knows that he doesn’t want to be with me forever?”
She also voiced her displeasure with a line in the agreement that referred to her as a “guest.”
“Although I do not wish to be formal, I do not want there to be any misunderstanding regarding your presence at the home as my guest,” Cena wrote in the contract. “In the event that I ask you to vacate the home, you agree to immediately vacate the home and remove any and all items you have brought into the home as soon as possible. ”
Cena argued the contract was to protect his finances so he could support his family members.
“It is like buying a handgun for home defense. It gives you a sense of security and it gives you a fail-safe in case something happens,” he told Bella’s brother, JJ Garcia, at the time. “And those who buy a handgun for self-defense pray, pray they never have to use it. Without it, it’s a dog fight. With it, it is very easy.”
Bella, in response, questioned whether she would always just be a guest “in his heart.”
“Am I ever going to have that permanent spot in the rest of (his) life?” she asked sister Brie in the episode.
“This is what my life is. This is what it’s become,” he told her. “You met my family. You think my mom paid for that house herself? She didn’t. My brother lives in that house, they’re expecting a child. My younger brother, he’s got medical problems. I make sure he’s okay. I always tell them, I’m a horrible brother, but I try to be the best provider that I can. I just don’t want to ever be in a position where that’s in jeopardy.”
On the outside looking in, it looks rather cold-blooded. However, it’s an extremely smart move for a person who worked so hard for everything he has and is not willing to lose half of it over a failed relationship.
