Update: July 30, 2009 – Erin Andrews 911 Call (Full Audio)

Total Pro Sports – Anything and everything regarding the life of Erin Andrews seems to be making headlines these days.  Whether she is taking balls off her chin, or scarfing down pulled-pork sandwiches, she seemingly can’t escape the public eye.  Even when she is in the privacy of her own hotel room.

This story came to us from Deadspin, after they reported that the website NSFW POA had posted videos of what they claim to be “a hot naked blonde doing some ironing and curling her hair in her hotel room.” They also went on to state that the person who sent them the tip labeled it “Sexy and hot blonde sports celebrity shows us her all.”

Although it does not state Erin Andrews’ name anywhere, the lawyers at ESPN still took immidiate action.  Deadspin posted the following letter, which was written by ESPN’s attorney David Pahl, to blog proprietor Doug Sheckler:

I am the General Counsel of ESPN, Inc. It has come to my attention that you have posted on your site pictures of a young, blonde woman at http://www.nsfwpoa.com/2009/07/hot-naked-blonde-who-looks-lot-like.html. These pictures were obviously taken through a peephole or otherwise in a fashion constituting a trespass/assault on the rights of the woman involved. Your continued posting of these pictures are highly likely to render you an accessory after the fact to a criminal act. We hereby demand that you (i) immediately remove these pictures from your site and (ii) disclose to us the source of the pictures. We intend to hold you fully responsible for further display of material that so obviously violates the law.

Please confirm by return e-mail that you intend to comply with these demands. In the absence of such confirmation we will assume you are an active and willing participant in these acts.

The post has since been removed, but the source remains in question.  What is also still up in the air is the identity of the woman.  Was it in fact Erin Andrews?  While that has yet to be confirmed, you have to wonder why ESPN took such action against the vids.  Maybe they should consider substituting the “Erin Andrews Butt Cam” with the “Erin Andrews Peep Hole Cam”

LOS ANGELES, July 17 /PRNewswire/ — With respect to recent Internet postings of Erin Andrews, she has authorized her attorney, Marshall B. Grossman of Bingham McCutchen LLP, to issue the following statement:

“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent. She was the victim of a crime and is taking action to protect herself and help ensure that others are not similarly violated in the future. Although the perpetrator or perpetrators of this criminal act have not yet been identified, when they are identified she intends to bring both civil and criminal charges against them and against anyone who has published the material. We request respect of Erin’s privacy at this time, while she and her representatives are working with the authorities.”

I was a little angry at first until I realized that it was Canada vs P.E.I, meaning my girl Jennifer Jones was playing and in another close battle that went into extra ends.  Jones defeated Rebecca Jean MacPhee 6-5 to capture fourth place and move on to a playoff game Saturday against third-place Stephanie Lawton of Saskatchewan.

How did she do it you might ask? Well, after being down for most of the match she battled back and showed the filed why she’s the defending champ.  She stole 1 point in the 10th to tie and another point in the 11th to win her match, which set up today’s game with Saskatchewan.

Needless to say watching this match was a great consolation prize for missing much of the hockey game.  Regardless of what happens in the game today, Jennifer Jones will always be my girl.

In his first round back at the WGC Accenture match play championship tournament in Marana, Arizona. Tiger Woods, the worlds #1golfer faced off against Brendan Jones in the first match and defeated him 3 to 2.  For most of the round it didn’t even look like Woods missed a beat. It’s hard to think this guy missed all of last year due to knee surgery.

“It felt like nothing changed,” said Woods, who made a rock-star-like entrance to the first tee, where fans greeted him with “Welcome back” chants. “Walking down the fairway, and it felt like business as usual. Go out there, I thought I would be more nervous on that first tee, but when it comes right down to it. … it just came back down to just playing the game again, and that felt good.”

So it safe to say Tiger Woods is 100%. I wouldn’t doubt that a healthy Tiger Woods may just win every tournament that he plays.  I wonder if Las Vegas has a betting line for that?

In the first game, Chelsea ran away with a 1-0 win over Juventus.

The second game saw Arsenal beat Roma 1-0,

After this weeks play its safe to say that these teams are all in for a tough 2nd leg match up, so make sure March 10th and 11th are booked free on your calendar for the conclusion to these great battles in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League.

Mario Andretti the grandfather of Marco Andretti thinks his grandson is a great fit for the team.  But Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor the majority shareholders behind the team they call USF1 think differently. Windsor a former team manger for Ferrari and Williams and current F1 pit reporter for speed TV said plans are to hire “2 American Drivers”.

A few names that have been talked about are were former F1 driver Scott Speed, NASCAR star Klye Busch and IndyCar beauty Danica Patrick.  Neither of them once mentioned Marco Andretti the up and coming 22 year old star of IndyCar and grandson of 1978 F1 world champ Mario Andretti.

“She’s great and gets a lot of press,” Anderson said earlier this week. “Indy Racing League chairman Tony George would be pretty mad with me if I took her out of the IRL but we’ll see.” [Setanta]

Mario Andretti said “every time I mention formula one, he says I’d give anything to have this opportunity,” talking about Marco Andretti.  Mario went on later to say,

“if i were to design a formula one driver today, i would design Marco.We’ll see what the future brings for him.”

But in the end this is a business and for a business in F-1 to succeed the best drivers are needed for the team to make the most money.

Normally I would have very little interest all things curling, but that is before I became familiar with Jennifer Jones.  Jennfier Jones is the skip (captain) for Team Canada and is currently the world curling champion.

We here at TPS just wanted to take moment to let her know that she #1 in our hearts.  We would also like to thank her for giving us a reason to watch curling on television.  Let’s be honest she’s not super hot, but compared to her colleagues she’s Angelina Jolie.

When you think about it, curling has all the ingredients to be an entertaining sport.  It features women grunting and screaming, while they are sweeping, the only problem was the lack of attractive competitors.  Now, that has changed thanks to Jennifer Jones, Cheryl Bernard and others who can make the ice melt.

Thank you women of curling for looking so darn good on the ice, what’s next? Attractive female power lifters?
