A total of 352 people entered this event, with 1st place recieving $794,112. The final table was filled with familiar poker faces including Nenad Medic, Andy Bloch, Kathy Liebart, Mike Sexton, Patrick Antonius, and Phil Lak.

Hand #176 - Nenad Medic on the button calls, Bloch raises to 300,000, and Medic calls. The flop is 8H/5S/4H. Bloch bets 500,000, Medic re-pots, and Bloch calls all in. Bloch has 9H/9D and Medic has 5H/7H. The turn card falls the JH, and Medic makes the flush, but Bloch is now drawing to a higher flush draw with the 9h. The river is the 5C, and Nenad Medic wins Event #1, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em World Championship, capturing his first bracelet and $794,112! Andy Bloch is runner-up and earns $488,048 for his finish second place finish.
