Total Pro Sports - The Crimson Tide are rulers of the nation and No. 1in our College Football Power Rankings, after controlling much of the second half with their bruising ground attack.
The Florida Gators have blown out their sixth consecutive opponent, this week they handed their former coach Steve Spurrier his worst loss ever, smashing the Gamecocks 56-6. The Gators are waiting for one of the top 2 teams to stumble which would open the door for them to sneak into the Orange Bowl.
There is a dandy of a game next week when the Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to Norman to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. That game has huge implications on what the National Championship setup will look like. Both teams feature high scoring offenses, Heisman candidates at the quarterback position, play-making wide receivers and the ability to entertain the fans like no other teams can.

Western Michigan is up there? But not Central Michigan? Central beat WMU and has a better shot at beating Ball St. than the Broncos.
WMU should be the honorable mention, and Central should be in the TOP 25.
Ya but Central Michigan has no notable victories against out of conference opponents (i.e loss to Purdue), WMU beat the Illini. I believe the game between CMU and WMU would have had a different outcome had the Broncos played at home.
No dice on that one, the rankings are correct but I wouldn’t mind seeing CMU in the Top 25 down the road.
Since when is Illinois a credible win? They are 5-6. Just because they are in the Big Ten doesn’t make them a credible win.
But you know what the best part is? Central beat Western , 38-28, with their back up QB. Dan Lefevour, by far their best player, didn’t even play in that game and they still won by 10.
Central should be ahead of Western hands down.
Whatever we will see what happens when both teams play Ball State. Then there will be no excuses as to who is deserving of a ranking.
