Broncos Fire Mike Shanahan
Total Pro Sports - The Denver Broncos have fired Mike Shanahan the second longest-tenured NFL coach. Mike Shanahan had 3 years and $20 million left on his contract.
The Broncos this season lost a 3 game lead with three games to go in the AFC West and fell from a playoff spot. The Denver Broncos also had one of the worst defenses in the league allowing 448 points, third worst in the NFL. All of this lead to Mike Shanahans firing.
Shanahan, 56, coached the Broncos since 1995, behind only Tennessee's Jeff Fisher in tenure with one team. He led the Broncos to consecutive Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999 and compiled a record of 146-89 with the team.
We don't see Mike Shanahan being unemployed for long in the NFL, there are definitely positions available. Look for him to take one of the vacancies in New York, Detroit, and Cleveland.

another one bites the dust
Elway retired after the 98 season. Since the 98 season, Shanahan has done nothing.
How many people could go 10 years without doing their job without getting fired?
GOOD NEWS FOR THE RAIDERS
FINALLY SHANNAHAN OUT IN DEN. MAKES OAK/DEN. GAMES EASIER FOR THE RAIDERS WITHOUT SHANNAHAN.
terriable move.
Yes. It is long past due.
Shanahan hasn’t done anything positive in Denver since the Broncos lost to Pittsburgh in the playoffs 3 years ago.
I say good riddance. The defense has been laughably bad for the past three seasons. And any coach who presided over a team who failed to win the division after having a 3 game lead with 3 games left in the season deserves to be fired.
Good luck next year Broncos
