Charles Barkley Takes Leave Of Absence From TNT

4

Charles BarkleyTotal Pro Sports - On December 30th at about 1:30am in the State of Arizona, Charles Barkley was pulled over and arrested for DUI.  His excuse to the Arizona Police was that he wanted "Oral Sex" and was in a rush to meet this professional "Blower".

"Police in Arizona said Friday that Barkley, 45, had a blood-alcohol level of .149 after his arrest in Scottsdale on New Year's Eve. A level of .150 is a case of "extreme" inebriation, said police Lt. Eric Shuhandler. The state's legal limit is .08."

This matter is not being taken lightly and Barkley is due to be in court on January 20 2009, according to the USA Today.

"I have spoken with Charles Barkley regarding the incident. .. and I understand he has hired a lawyer to represent him regarding this matter," said David Levy, president of TNT Sports, in a statement. "When I spoke with Charles, he was apologetic for the events that transpired and it was obvious he understands the significance of the situation. This is an important time for Charles as he deals with the legal and personal issues that confront him. Charles is a valued part of the Turner Sports organization and we are concerned for his well-being."

This is definitely not he first time that Charles Barkley has been in the media for the wrong reason.  Last Spring reports surfaced that Charles Barkley owed a Las Vegas Casino over $400,000 and if he didn't pay he would face criminal chargers.  Barkley quickly payed up and put the matter to rest.

It's sad to see a great NBA player ruin his name after such an illustrious basketball career.  Hopefully Barkley can clean his name and return to TNT.

We will definielty miss the loud an abnoxious voice of Charles Barkley on the TNT set.

TNT NBA is nothing without Charles Barkley, he makes the whole show. I don’t even watch it without him. His personal problems are his alone, and should be left to him to solve.
