Total Pro Sports - The No, 4 ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons proved that they are no push over as they upset the No. 3 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday night.  It was an action filled affair between these ACC schools and the rivalry remains heated.  The Demon Deacons neutralized Tyler Hansbrough in the second half, as they held him without a point and 3-12 from the field for the game.  The Tar Heels had a chance to send the game to overtime, when Jeff Teague missed the back end of 2 free throws but the Tar Heels missed a last second 3 pointer.

Jeff Teague had a career game as he scored a career high 34 points on 9-17 shooting, including 13-15 from the charity strip.  The Demon Deacons remained one of only three undefeated teams left in Div 1 basketball and push their home record to a perfect 9-0.  Long gone are the days of Chris Paul but it has only taken the program a couple of years to get back to respectability.

Will the the demon deacons be ready to make a run in March?

I'm not sure, we will have to evaluate their progress as the year moves on but beating North Carolina is definitely a positive step.
