Jake Delhomme Throws Hand Grenades

January 11, 2009

Jake Delhomme Throws Hand GrenadesTotal Pro Sports - If you watched the divisional playoff game between the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers last night,  Jake Delhomme the quarterback of the Carolina Panthers threw 5 interceptions, 1 lost fumble and had 1 touchdown.  Definitely one of the worst games in his career, the Panthers lost 33-13.

In late December former Panthers wider receiver Keyshawn Johnson said that his former teammate Jake Delhomme loved to throw hand grenades had he had no trust in him.

I don't trust Jake [Delhomme]. I've played with him. He's a good guy and everything, but in this situation he'll try to do too much if they put the ball in his hands, try to throw hand grenades like in Green Bay. Keyshawn Johnson said

We agree with that analogy was perfect as it seemed Delhomme was aiming for the opposition most of the night.  We think that the Carolina Panthers forgot that they are not a passing football team, they completely disregarded the game plan. There was no way that prior to this game the idea was to have Delhomme throw the ball 34 times and have the offense run the ball 15 times.  It is a tough way to get your first home loss of the season, but the Panthers took the Cardinals lightly and were punished.

A big congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals and especially that Cardinals defense that kept the Panthers ground game in check all night long. They had the Panthers second guessing themselves from start to finish, a big reason was that front four for Arizona, which kept Jake Delhomme thinking about the pass rush all game. The Cardinals offense was pretty good, thanks to Mr. Larry Fitzgarald, the wide receiver made numerous big catches and finished the day with 8 receptions for 166 yards and 1 touchdown.

Are the Arizona Cardinals this years Cinderella story?  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Atleast it wasn’t in the Super bowl like when Gannon threw 5 against the bucs.

Seemed awfully funny to me how John Fox could have continued to put Delhomme back in after he consistently handed the ball to the other team. Almost seemed like Jake was throwing the game. I think they both should be shown the door.

I do think that Gannon’s performance in the Super Bowl was bad, but give credit to the Bucs (they were the #1 Defense that year). No excuse for Delhomme playing so poorly, or Fox calling a game so badly.

Im not suprised. Not suprised. I was one of the few to predict a Cardinals upset(and you can check my last answers before the game to see im not lying) We saw this game late in the season when Car. took on the Raiders. and Delhomme had a similar day- 4ints and S.Smith 1catch - 7yds. The only reason why Carolina won was because the Raiders had no offense at the time, and both Russell and McFadden didnt play due to injury. Ever since i saw that game, i knew Carolina was not as good and as hyped as everyone on espn was saying, but ofcourse no one was going to say the Raiders almost won that game( you dont say that on tv, because we hate Al Davis) so it was forgotten and presumed as a bad game played by the panthers, instead of a great defensive battle from the Raiders, Well it was shown vs AZ. Much of the NFC South was over rated all year. After taking the weak AFC West / NFC North.
I predicted this win after dreaming the game the day before, in which Arz was leading. last time i had a similar dream, it was an upset against TB by the Raiders, and we all know how that went 2 days later, after i started telling everyone who would win.

Unlike Espn / or the rest of the country. I dont call this a bad game played by the panthers. I give the credit to the Cardinals. just for the fact, that no one wouldve gave the credit to the Raiders and wouldve said it was a bad game by Carolina. It showed that Carolina was over rated.

I have have always hated jake dellomme. I was at the game ware he made his debut and I didnt like him then. I will not go for the panthers next year if Jake Dellomme is the Panthers Quarterback. I want people to start calling for his and John Foxs Head in Carolina.

Got something to say?
