Jarkko Ruutu Bites Andrew Peters Hand
Total Pro Sports - A couple of weeks ago Don Cherry on coaches corner had nothing good to say about the last place Senators. He called them thugs and added that he thought they may just steal your car, because of the way they were dressed. Now today, Jarkko Ruutu of the Senators Bites Andrew Peters hand during a game.
I wonder what he will say this Saturday night about the Senators and Jarkko Ruutu bite?
The Senators where in Buffalo taking on the Sabres on Tuesday Night when this all went down. A skirmish ensued at the bench and Peters and Ruutu go at it. As Peters grabs Ruutu in the face with his glove still on he bites it. It looked as if Jarkko Ruutu was a hungry lion ripping out a piece of meat from his freshly killed prey.
The replay shows Ruutu taking a nice chunk out of Peters glove and then Peters grimacing in pain. The force of the bite has yet to be determined and it seems as if Peters fingers are still intact.
We'll just have to wait and see if commissioner Gary Bettman steps in and hands down a nice suspension. We hope so!

lol i saw that on espn this morning and they gave Peters the penalty! um it depends, the call on the ice was that peters was lying but if they review it they ot to suspend him, fine him something! if not then this league has lost its purpose in protecting its players
If someone stuck their thumb in your mouth what would you do? Stand there with your mouth open… probably not, you would shut your mouth, it’s a natural reaction. Ruutu is a prick, but if he was on your team you’d love him. I don’t think biting should be allowed, but I watched the altercation and I think what he did was just a natural reaction. It isn’t like he grabbed the guys hand, put the guys thumb in his mouth and bit it. Peters shoved his fist in Ruutu’s face, his thumb went in Ruutu’s mouth, and Ruutu closed his mouth.
Give him a couple of games to shut everyone up. Also give Peters a couple of games for his pathetic acting skills. The guy had his thumb bitten with a hockey glove on…there’s no way it hurt as much as he played it up!
I think he should get several games and possibly a fine. Biting is just crazy. I’m a Buffalo fan and watched the game… I can’t believe they gave Peters the penalty. BS!
Maybe a couple of games just for disrespecting the game of hockey.

I think he should be suspended for 10 games and given a pretty decent fine. I don’t care if another players hand is in your face, you don’t bite him. There’s no place in hockey for this type of non-sense. You have a problem with him, fight it out later in the game but don’t bite him. That’s just childish.
