Nets Dancer Bonnie Lincoln Has Historic Roots

5

Bonnie LincolnTotal Pro Sports – Who knew that there are living descendants of Abraham Lincoln.  Apparently one of them is a member of the New Jersey Nets dance team named Bonnie Lincoln, she is a a real “Babe-Raham Lincoln”.

When Ms. Lincoln, 23, isn’t showing off a chunk of wood from Honest Abe’s famous log cabin, she’s showing off her moves as a dancer for the New Jersey Nets.

She also works in a legal office, and is not afraid to boast about her famous ancestry.

“(Lincoln) was one of the greatest presidents in our history,” she said. “People still recognize that today. We have so much to be thankful for because of him.”

It’s awesome that she is related to former President Abraham Lincoln, I hope she doesn’t ruin her blood lines and get involved with pansy Vince Carter.

  3. There are no living direct descendants of Lincoln. Sorry, Bonnie.

  4. I don’t know what her parents told her but there are no living direct decendants of Abraham Lincoln. Three of his four children died in childhood and the fourth had no children. She may be related through Lincoln’s half-brother though.

While Bonnie Lincoln may share a common ancestor with Abraham Lincoln, she is not a direct descendent of him. Robert Lincoln was the only child of President Lincoln to reach adulthood. He had three children, two girls and a boy. The boy died at age 16 (thus no more descendants of Lincoln with a last name of Lincoln). The two girls had a total of 3 children, none of whom had any kids. The last direct descendant of Abraham Lincoln, Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith, died in 1985.
