Total Pro Sports – The 2009 NHL trade deadline has officially come and gone.  It was a slow NHL trade deadline this year with only 21 trades being made.

The biggest winner of the day were the Calgary Flames who added Olli Jokinen and Jordan Leopold.  The biggest seller of the day were the cash strapped Phoenix Coyotes who dumped a whole bunch of salary for young players and draft picks.

Lets take a look at the rest of the trades that took place today.

	LW Travis Moen, D Kent Huskins		G Timo Pielmeier, C Nick Bonino, 2009 conditional draft pick	Travis Moen is a grinder the Sharks will be pleased with this acquisition as they go deep into the playoffs.
	D Kyle McLaren		2009 sixth-round pick	Hopefully McLaren can find himself playing for the Flyers because he was playing with the Sharks AHL team before this trade.
	C Samuel Pahlsson		D James Wisniewski, conditional draft pick	If the Blackhawks are looking to make a deep push into the playoffs the addition of Pahlsson will definitely help them.
	D Steve Eminger		D Noah Welch 2009 third-round pick	Eminger again finds himself traded again this time to the Panthers.  A nice move for the Panthers, but we recommend that you keep your bags packed kid.
	C Dominic Moore		2009 second-round pick	Moore is a solid pickup for the Sabres.  He gives them 150% every time he steps onto the ice.
	D Derek Morris		D Dmitri Kalinin, LW Petr Prucha, LW Nigel Dawes	The New York Rangers give up a lot for Morris.  Hopefully he can return the favor and help the Rangers make a run for the cup.
	RW Nik Antropov		2009 second-round pick, conditional draft pick	So long Antropov your time was a waste in Toronto.
	LW Daniel Carcillo		LW Scottie Upshall, 2009 second-round pick	A nice pick up for both teams, the Flyers will love Carcillo on their side.
	RW Bill Guerin		2009 conditional pick (fifth-, fourth- or third-round)	The Islanders finally find a team for Bill Guerin.
	RW Mark Recchi, 2010 second-round pick		D Matt Lashoff, RW Martin Karsums	The veteran leadership of Mark Recchi will help the Bruins when they make their push for the Stanley Cup.
	C Olli Jokinen, 2009 third-round pick		C Matthew Lombardi, RW Brandon Prust, 2009 or 2010 first-round pick (Calgary’s option)	The Flames we think are now a top 5 team in the NHL with the aquisiton of Jokinen.
	G Mikael Tellqvist		2009 fourth-round pick	Tellqvist will make a nice backup to Ryan Miller
	D Jordan Leopold		D Lawrence Nycholat, D Ryan Wilson, 2009 second-round pick (previously acquired)	The Flames contiue to improve with Leopold returning to the Flames..
	C Antoine Vermette		G Pascal Leclaire, 2009 second-round pick	A nice addition for both team, both will be pleased.
	D Steve Montador		C Petteri Nokelainen	Another nice addition for Boston.
	D Andy Wozniewski		D Danny Richmond	I think if this trade wasnt reported nobody would care.
	C Erik Christensen		C Eric O’Dell	A solid 3rd line center for the Ducks
	G Kevin Lalande		2009 fourth-round pick	A backup to Steve Mason.
