The Stat Line Of The Night – 05/26/09 – Tim Lincecum

0

Braves Giants BaseballTotal Pro Sports - With the talk of the MLB, Zack Greinke, also pitching last night and putting up a stellar performance, last year's stud Tim Lincecum was not about to get shown up.  Playing a tough Braves team, he showed why he is still one of the most dangerous pitchers in baseball.

The Giants only needed one inning of prodution on this night, and they got it with four runs in the 2nd.  That would be enough for Lincecum as he would pitch 8 scoreless innings, allowing just 5 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 8 to earn himself the honor as "The Stat Line Of The Night" for Tuesday May 26th, 2009.

The Giants have now pulled off back to back wins are are one more victory away from reaching the .500 mark.  They will need to continue this roll if they expect to have any chance at catching the Dodgers.  As for Lincecum, he will need to be a big part of that run, and last nights performance is a good start, lowering his ERA to 3.03.  That number will need to continue to drop.
