LeBron James Shoes Say “New York – 27″, Cleveland Trembles
The summer of 2010 is coming closer and closer. The entire basketball community is waiting and speculating about what will happen. You see in 2010, the big draft class of 2003, along with a few other superstars, will be free agents. That includes the likes of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson and others. The entire power structure of the NBA could shift, or nothing at all could happen. The anticipation is building and building. As great as all those names are, the one name that everyone is watching is LeBron James, the man who respects the game and is trying to remake it in his own image..
All of Cleveland is holding their breath. Cavs fans' years of pain and suffering finally ended in 2003 with the arrival of LeBron. Although he hasn't won them a championship yet, their years of poor play have finally been replaced by something to get excited about. Unfortunately for Cleveland, the prognosis doesn't look good.
LeBron has shown time and again that he likes New York. Between his friendship with Jay-Z (part owner of the New Jersey Nets), and his love affair with the Yankees, it doesn't look good for Cleveland. Now things get even worse. LeBron wore shoes that literally said "New York" on them the other night. They are commemorative of the Yankees World Series win. If the city of Cleveland is looking for a sign about what will happen this summer, this might be the one to look at. James has reassured fans that he has made no decisions yet regarding his impending free agency, especially avoiding the question of whether he would go to New York to play for the Nets or the Knicks, but these shoes seem to make things pretty clear.
We won't know for sure until this summer, so we can only wait and see.
