Born Amir Esfandiari, but better known as Antonio Esfandiari, AKA "The Magician" has been an up and comer on the poker circuit for many years now.

Born in Tehran, Iran in 1978, Antonio along with his father moved to America in 1987 for a better life and greater opportunity. Antonio was a bright student until he fell on hard times in his late teens; He and his father did not see eye to eye and Antonio ended up moving out and supporting himself. While working as waiter in a restaurant Antonio had witnessed a magic trick by a bartender and became instantly intrigued. He spent the next 2 years of his life learning magic, hence the nickname.

Antonio began his poker career at the age of 20. By the age of 22 he began playing poker full-time, when his career as a magician became less profitable. With sponsors including Ultimate Bet, WPT Accademay, and represented by Poker Loyalty a management company, Antonio is doing a good job solidifying his place among other top professionals.  

Antonio is now re veered as one of the best tournament and cash game players on the circuit with his ability to read players and no fear attitude he should remain there for years to come. Whether its doing magic, playing poker or selling Persian rugs this guy will be successful at anything he puts his mind to.
