Are You Interested In A Barry Bonds Tattoo?

November 20, 2008

Barry Bonds TattooTotal Pro Sports - If your ever interested in a Tattoo then why not get Barry Bonds on your back?

Forget about Angels, Jesus, or your Zodiac sign. Number 25 and Bonds on your back just like his jersey is something so unique and we think absolutely idiotic.  This gentlemen also has a second Barry Bonds tattoo under the jersey.  It's a tattoo of Barry Bonds after he hit a home run and then pointing up to the sky.

We just want to know what this guy was thinking getting Barry Bonds tattooed on his back? It might be cool now, but lets be realistic what will he do wen he gets married and has a family.

If you watch he video he talks a lot about the World Series Of Poker and how he goes there every year to play. We just think maybe he lost a prop bet with a fellow poker player and had to tattoo Barry Bonds on his back.

Drunk Phillies Fan At The World Series

October 27, 2008

Phillies World Series?Total Pro Sports - It would be great for baseball if the Tampa Bay Rays win the World Series. The Rays finished dead last in the MLB last year, and this year they were first in the MLB. Go Figure!!!!!

After developing and building there team through draft picks, the Rays have put together a team to be reckoned with. You see, it doesn't matter how much you spend on free agents, a team can be built through developing your draft picks.  Teams in the MLB should take a lesson from the Rays, spending hundreds of millions does not equal success.

The Rays are down 3-1 in the World Series after getting beat down last night 10-2 by the Phillies.

After watching the game on T.V., I have to admit, the city of Philadelphia have some crazy fans.  Where do I begin?:  The stink bomb at the Flyers game,  the drunk Flyers fan jumping over the boards to fight Tie Domi of the Toronto Maple Leafs,  batteries thrown at JD Drew in the outfield when he returned to Philadelphia!  Is this supposed to be funny or just plain stupidity?  If I were a Philadelphia fan I would be embarrassed!!!

I have never been to the city of Philadelphia before, but word on the street is that the Philly fans are ruthless and the City is not the best place in the USA to visit. The city of Philadelphia is good for one thing, their food, especially the Philly cheesesteaks.

If you thought other baseball fans were ruthless like the Yankees or Red Sox fans, take a look at the drunk Philly fan in the video, It sums up all the Philadelphia sports fans.

Fortunate or Unfortunate, well leave this one for you to decide?

Derek Lowe On The Mets Radar

October 24, 2008

Derek LoweTotal pro Sports -  When it comes to off season rumors and who teams are interested in is it not a surprise when you hear the New York Yankees and the New York Mets are courting top notch free agents?  Surprise to some not to us!!!!!

If the MLB wants parody then they better find a way for large market teams as both the Yankees and Mets spend their money.

GO RAYS GO, It will be great for baseball if you win.  From worst to first!!!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------

The Mets New York Mets plan on targeting Derek Lowe and Brian Fuentes in the free agent market, an NL executive who has talked to team officials told the Post.

The Mets are promising to be creative and explore many avenues. But Lowe (a dependable innings eater) and Fuentes (a proven closer) fit the Mets' top two needs, and are going to be pursued by the organization this offseason.

October 24, 2008

Manny RamirezTotal Pro Sports - If they want to take the shot, then why not?  Look what Manny has done for the Doders ever since getting traded to the.  After moving to the Dodgers in 53 games Manny hit an astounding .396 average, with 17 home runs and 53 RBI's.

The best part about all this is that Manny Ramirez mentioned before that he would be interested in playing for the Toronto Blue Jays........Go Figure!!!!!!

Is it worth $20 million plus a year, you be the judge?

----------------------------------------------------------

Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi, still hoping to bring back pitcher A.J. Burnett, told FoxSports.com yesterday that there is another high-profile player on his radar: Manny Ramirez.

"Manny is not priority No.1. I can't even say he's priority No.2," Ricciardi was quoted as saying.

"It would really be a long shot for us to bring him to Toronto. He's on our radar, but maybe not on our radar like some people will report. I don't see us getting involved in unbelievable, astronomical numbers. We would not go down that path," Ricciardi added.

Blue Jays 2008 Season Review

October 8, 2008

Blue Jays - Roy Halladay“Cito’s back with the Moustache Attack”

The Jays had a mediocre season this year.  At the beginning of the year there was a lot of optimism for this team to finally make the post season for the first time since Joe hit that beauty off of Barry Melrose look-a-like Mitch Williams.  Part of the reason this team did not make the playoffs was because the team was simply not as good as the Jays fans hyped them up to be.  Scott Rolen was looked at to deliver production, but he had been injured 3 of the 4 years before this one with a shoulder problem, something that bothered him again this year.  Vernon Wells had a productive year, but was injured for two months of the season. Aaron Hill had a great 2007 season, but missed pretty much all of this year with a concussion.  Frank Thomas did what the Big Hurt does, he struggled in the first part of the season and that gave J.P enough of a scapegoat to release him in order to not pay that option year.  Lyle Overbay struggled coming back from his hand injury last season and Alex Rios only remembered how to hit a home run in the second half of the season.

In all there were some positives from this year, with the most promising aspect of their team, the pitching staff.  The Jays bullpen had a lot of surprises in Brian Tallet, Jesse Carlson and Brandon League and Scott Downs solidified himself as one of the best set-up man in the game.  With Casey Janssen and Jeremy Accardo coming back from injury next year, our bullpen should once again be the Jays forte.  The starting rotation, as of right now, is looking less significant as they were this year.  Shawn Marcum will be out for the season with Tommy John surgery.  AJ Burnett will not be back unless the Jays significantly increase their reported 4 yr/ $52 million offer. With the Yankees involved in the pursuit of Burnett, it will take a minimum of 4yrs/$60 million to get him to stay.  Dustin Mcgowan won’t be ready for the start of the season and even if he is, he is coming back from injury.  That leaves “Doc” Halladay, Jesse Litsch and David Purcey. I  like Litsch, but I do remember a guy named Gustavo Chacin having a season like Litsch had, and now Chacin is toiling around in single A.

A New Face In Baseball? Kim Ng

September 27, 2008

Kim Ng To SeattleTotal Pro Sports - Reports out of Seattle are indicating that the next general manager may in fact be a woman.  The president of the Mariners has recently been quoted as saying that the team is considering a wide range of candidates for the position, including the possibility of the first woman general manager in major league history.

After becoming the first team in Major League history to lose 100 games having a $100 million dollar payroll, drastic changes need to be made.  Coming into the season the Seattle Mariners were the supposed favorite to win the AL West but on Friday they lost their 101st game against the Oakland A's, their most loses since 1983.

Carlos Zambrano No Hits The Astros

September 15, 2008

Carlos Zambrano No HitterTotal Pro Sports - After being off from the game for 11 days Carlos Zambrano came back with full force on Sunday night.  Throwing a No hitter against the Houston Astros at Miller Park in Milwaukee.  The game was played at Miller Park in Milwaukee because of Hurricane Ike which ravaged through the city of Houston.

So instead of throwing a No hitter in front of Astros fans, Carlos Zambrano pitched against a large gathering of Chicago Cubs fans.  The Hurricane worked out perfect for Cubs fans.  Having the relocation of the game played at Miller Park, Chicago fans only had to drive 1 hour and 30 minutes to see a career performance by their star pitcher.

After Zambrano's final pitch he fell to both knees giving praise to the man above.

Immediately after finishing off the game of his life, Carlos Zambrano got down on one knee and thrust his arms toward the sky.

The emotional right-hander threw the Cubs' first no-hitter in 36 years Sunday night, a 5-0 win over Houston at Miller Park in which he returned from an 11-day layoff in his own inimitable style.

"I guess I'm back," Zambrano said with a wide smile.

Big Z is back, all right, and better than ever.

Francisco Rodriguez Ties Record For Saves

September 12, 2008

Francisco Rodriguez Ties record For SavesTotal Pro Sports - This kid "Francisco Rodriguez" is just amazing, he has just tied the record for saves by a closer.

Would you want him on your teams, get Francisco Rodriguez on your fantasy baseball team or get him on your Major league team it doesn't matter.  This kid will get the job done!

Rodriguez plays on a top ranked team in the Majors and yes he will have more save opportunity in the MLB because of this.  But it's one thing to have those opportunities and another to close them out, and Rodriguez closes them out on a consistent basis.

Keep an eye on Francisco Rodriguez  as he will break this record in the upcoming days and eventually go down in history as one of the most dominant and greatest closers in baseball.

A day after the Angels achieved their team goal by winning the American League West title, they got closer to one of their individual goals.

Francisco Rodriguez equaled Bobby Thigpen's major league record of 57 saves when the Angels defeated the Seattle Mariners, 7-4, on Thursday night at Angel Stadium.
"I have to give credit to my teammates," Rodriguez said. "I'd be really, really selfish if I said I set it by myself. But that's what I get paid for. That's my job right there."

So now what?

After becoming the first manager to win a playoff berth this season and the first in history to win an AL West title before mid-September, Mike Scioscia found himself contemplating that very question.

Not that it was a bad question to have to answer, mind you. It's just that it's a new one for Scioscia, who has won four division titles and a World Series since 2002 but, until now, had never clinched a playoff berth before the final week of the season.
