Free Football Picks

Brought to you by BetUs.com

CP's back with avengence this week, watch out Vegas I'm coming to get you with my free NFL picks for week 4.  Were gonna hit you hard this week, Another 2-2 outing last week, I wont settle for nothing less the a 3-1 record this week.

Here are my week 4 free NFL picks.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5, O/U 44.5)

Pick: Cleveland Browns (+3.5)– In the battle of Ohio, both teams are looking for their first wins of the season.  Cincinnati looked pretty good last week against the Giants taking them to overtime but eventually losing by a field goal.  While Cleveland could not muster any offense against a strong Ravens D ultimately losing 28-10.  Quarterback Derek Anderson will be playing for his job because if he underachieves this week, look for Brady Quinn to step in next week.  I think Anderson will step up and perform well, using his weapons of Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow to put up large points on a weak Cincy D.

Free Football Picks

Brought to you by BetUs.com

A bit of a tough week going 1-3, but I will look to rebound this time out, here’s a look at my free Football picks for week 3.  Remember sports gambling is a grind, like anything else in life, we had a bad outing but will pull through in week 3 and make some money.

Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Giants (-13.5, O/U 41.5)

Pick: New York Giants (-13.5) - Cincinnati just might be the worst team in the league, with possibly the crappiest defence.  They have some play makers on offense like Carson Palmer, T.J. Houshmanzadeh and Chad Ocho Cinco, but these players have underachieved big time this year. A lot of the blame for the Bengals offensive deficiencies can be placed on the broad shoulders of their terrible O-line.  The Giants on the other hand are looking like a team that could easily repeat as Super Bowl champs.  Like last week, look for Brandon Jacobs to run wild against a team that can’t stop the run, or the pass or anything really.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Atlanta Falcons (-6, O/U 36.5)

Pick: Atlanta Falcons (-6)- In a battle between two weak teams, I’m going to take the Falcons.  The Chiefs were embarrassed at home last week by the lowly Raiders, with rookie Darren McFadden running all over them, I expect Michael Turner to have similar success against KC’s weak defense.  Tyler Thigpen will make his first career start for the Chiefs, so I am taking the Falcons who will start Matt Ryan who will be making his third career start.

Dallas Cowboys (-3, O/U 51.5) @ Green Bay Packers

Pick: Dallas Cowboys (-3) - This line seemed a little low to me considering Dallas is clearly the best team in the NFL right now, topping every Power Ranking across the continent.  Although Green Bay is also playing well, their wins have come against an average Vikings team, and a well below average Lions squad.  Dallas is coming off a short week, playing last Monday night in one of the best games in a long time, but I don’t think that will affect their performance.  I look for another high scoring, back and forth game with the Cowboys coming out on top by a touchdown.

New York Jets @ San Diego Chargers (-9, O/U 44)

Pick: New York Jets (+9) - The Chargers were robbed of a win last week, when referee Ed Hochuli botched a fumble call late in the game, it was one of the worst calls you will ever see.  The Chargers will be fired up at home on Monday night and I expect them to win, but not by double digits. Expect Ladainian Tomlinson to play, as he has never missed a regular season game due to injury, but he is definitely not at 100 percent.  The Jets have not looked all that good so far this season, but I still believe they are decent and good enough to keep this game close.  This will be Brett Favre’s first prime-time game as a Jet, many people still think that MNF stands for Monday Night Favre and he could have a big game.

Be sure to check back next week with my free football picks for week 4.  We love taking money from the sports books I hope you do to..

Last Week: 1-3                               Season: 3-5

NFL Free Picks: Week 2

September 11, 2008

Free Football Picks

So if Tom Brady does not get hurt, we are probably looking at a 3-1 record to start the season, however he did so we start out 2-2. Here’s a look at my free NFL picks for week 2.

New York Giants (-8.5, O/U 41.5) @ St. Louis Rams

Pick: New York Giants (-8.5) - The Rams are arguably the worse team in the NFL, getting blown out in week one, 38-3 against the Eagles. While the Giants, although not looking like Super bowl champions, but doing enough to beat the ‘Skins 16-7.  The Giants went 7-1 on the road in the regular season, plus another 3 wins in the playoffs to extend their record of 10 straight road wins in a season, and I like them to make it 11. Look for Brandon Jacobs to bowl over the feeble Rams defense.

Oakland Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5, O/U 36)

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) - Although I consider Damon Huard a mediocre Quarterback at best, you still have to like him better than Brodie Croyle.  The Chiefs hung in there for the whole game against the Pats, albeit without reigning league MVP Tom Brady, and were one play away from overtime.  The Raiders spent over 200 million dollars this off-season on “talent” but were embarrassed in their home opener 41-14 by a less than stellar Broncos team.  I expect the Chiefs to get it done at Arrowhead by a touchdown.

Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars (-5.5, O.U 37)

Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars (-5.5) - Buffalo looked great in their season opener, just smashing the Seahawks 34-10, while the Jags could do nothing on offense against a very stingy
Titans D.  So why am I picking the Jaguars?  Well, historically Jacksonville has been a much different team at home as opposed to the road, playing physical, smash-mouth football in their own house, and I look for this trend to continue.  Although the Bills are a young and up and coming team, I am not completely sold on them yet.  The Jags are expected to challenge for the AFC crown and I will be shocked if they start the season 0-2.  Jacksonville is 18-6 at home over the last 3 seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys (-6.5, O/U 47)

Dallas Cowboys (-6.5) - The Cowboys looked mighty impressive in week 1, going on the road and just dismantling what many believe to be a solid Cleveland team. The Eagles also looked good in week 1, but it was at home to the aforementioned worse team in the league Rams.
Philly is banged up at receiver, with their top two pass catchers likely out for this game, Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis.  While Dallas got some great news as it looks like Marion Barber will be good to go on Monday Night.  I like the Cowboys by at least a touchdown in their last home opener at Texas Stadium.

Be sure to check back next week with my free football picks for week 3.  We love taking money from the bookie I hope you do to.

Last week: 2-2                            Season: 2-2

NFL Week 1 Free Picks

September 4, 2008

This is our week 1 NFL Free Picks:

Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots (-16.5, O/U 45)

Pick: New England - Coming off a bitter Super Bowl loss to the Giants, which ended their pursuit of perfection, I look for the Patriots to come out firing on all cylinders.  Expect New England to do what they did last year; just crush their opponents the first half of the season. Winning by 17 against a very weak Chiefs squad should be no problem.

Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers (-6.5, O/U 43)

Pick: Pittsburgh- The Steelers are looking and expected to win back-to-back division titles and they start the year at home to the Texans.  Although Houston is not as pathetic as they once were, I still can’t see them keeping this game within a touchdown.  The Texans are 4-20 on the road the last three seasons.  This line opened at 6.5, but I’m expecting it to go to at least 7, so if you can get it at 6.5 it should be a lock.

New York Jets (-3, O/U 36)  @ Miami Dolphins

Pick: New York- Quite a few story lines in this game, as the Brett Favre era begins in New York, as well as Chad Pennington getting his first start for the Dolphins against his former team. The Jets made significant upgrades this off-season, acquiring stud offensive lineman Alan Faneca, 4-time Pro Bowl fullback Tony Richardson, as well as drafting a monster of a linebacker in Vernon Gholston. Coming off a dismal 1-15 season, look for the Dolphins to win a couple more games this year, just not this one.

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers (-3, O/U 38.5)

Pick: Minnesota - Last year the Vikings were #1 rushing the ball and #1 at stopping the run which usually equals success in the NFL, but they failed to make the playoffs.  Look for much of the same this season as Adrian Peterson enters his second season and the defense is pretty much the same, oh yeah they added 2007 Sacks leader Jared Allen to make the defense even stingier. I anticipate Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to struggle in the early going. Expect a changing of the guard in the NFC North, as Minnesota will win the division and win this game straight up at Lambeau field.

Be careful in week one as there always seems to be odd or off lines as bookmakers don't have the info to make a line for teams who havent played in a year.  Make sure you take advantage of this.  We hope these week 1 NFL Free Picks come in for you as these are the games were banking on.

Be sure to check back next week with our Week 2 NFL Free Picks.

Ultimate Fighter: Finale Picks

June 21, 2008

ufc

The much anticipated finale of the Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forest is set for tonight at 9pm in Las Vegas.  Here is a look at the main fights on the card:

Main Event:

Evan Tanner vs. Kendall Grove

  • The Fight:  Evan Tanner has looked weak in last couple fights, look for Grove to win this one.  Grove has had an impressive start to his UFC career and Tanner seems to be on the decline.
  • The Result:  Kendal Grove second round submission.

The Ultimate Fighter Final:

CB Dolloway vs. Amir Sadollah

  • The Fight:  The only reason this fight is taking place is because original finalist Jesse Taylor was kicked off the show for being a drunken idiot.  Although, Amir won the original meeting between the two, CB should take full advantage of his second chance and win this fight.
  • The Result: CB Dollaway unanimous decision.

Other Matches:

Luigi Fioravanti vs. Diego Sanchez

  • The Result: Diego Sanchez third round submission

Match #2

Jeremy Stephens vs. Spencer Fisher

  • The Result:  Stephens first round K.O.

Match #3

Dante Rivera vs. Matt Riddle

  • The Result: Rivera unanimous decision.

European Championship Quarter Final Preview

June 18, 2008

Euro 2008

The Quarter Finals of the European Championships starts tomorrow; here is how I think it will turn out:

Thursday, June, 19th

Germany vs. Portugal

The game: Look for Germany to win a close one, even though the Portuguese have looked unstoppable at times. The Germans have hit their stride and will be tough to beat.

The pick: Germany

The Score: 3-2

Friday, June, 20th

Croatia vs. Turkey

The Game: Coming off a stunning upset against the Czechs, Turkey appears poised to make some noise. However, Croatia looks to continue their solid play against the overmatched Turks.

The Pick: Croatia

The Score: 3-0

Saturday, June, 21st

Netherlands vs. Russia

The Game: The well rested boys in orange should easily beat this Russian squad. They have been the class of the tournament so far and Russia will likely be eliminated.

The Pick: Netherlands

The Score: 2-0

Sunday, June, 22nd

Spain vs. Italy

The Game: On paper this looks like a very tight battle, as both nations boast some of soccer’s biggest stars. Even with Italy missing two of their top midfielders in Pirlo and Gattuso, the Italians should take this one.

The Pick: Italy

The Score: 2-1

To all Italy Fans and gamblers!

June 14, 2008

Don Carbs Crying After Italy ties RomaniaI got into this argument yesterday with a degenerate buddie so I decided it was a great post and life lesson for all gamblers out there. We wont name names here but well call this person "Don Carbs".

I called up "Don Carbs" last night to see what was going on and if he had made his way to some crazy party I was also invited to go to. When he answered I heard no noise and it seemed to be very quiet! So I proceeded to ask where he was? It seemed to me as something happend or something was wrong, all he said was he didn't want to talk.

I stopped took the phone off my ear and had to look at the name on the screen, "Don Carbs" it read, ok so I called the right person. I said are you upset Italy lost, he said "yes". I proceeded to call him a donkey and a whole other bunch of names that I would rather keep off this post. All Don Carbs said "they had to win!" I knew from those words "Don Carbs" had placed a wager on Italy for some stupid reason. All I said was how much? the phone went silent! he never responded. Lets just say, I've known him for a while so just by that I know he lost what some people could use to put as a down payment on a car. I just don't mean a Pontiac Sunfire, I mean a BMW 5 series!

I said to Don Carbs why would you bet Italy, when that's your team? Haven't you heard of the number 1 rule in sports betting? "NEVER BET YOU FAVORITE TEAM!" Again he responded like a true donkey degenerate, "But they had to win". Sometimes it just doesn't sink.

I really don't know how many times I have to tell people this and how it doesn't process in there heads, "NEVER BET YOU FAVORITE TEAM!". How can you bet on a team you like? don't you think they are always going to win? Remember a team never has to win, anything can happen in sports.

The morale of the story is "NEVER BET YOU FAVORITE TEAM!". Just go watch the game and cheer for your team to win cause you like them not cause you have money on them. This will save all you degenerates out there some money!

Celtics will take control

June 12, 2008

Kevin GarnettTonight is game 4 of the NBA finals and it is make or break time for Lakers. If the Celtics win tonight, the series is done as they would have a choke hold on the Lakers, However, if the Lakers win it is a brand new series. I have a strong feeling that the Celtics will win tonight because they usually don’t lose back to back games. Also, Garnett and Piece had bad games and they should look to rebound well in game 4.

One wildcard in tonight’s game to watch out for is the health of Rajon Rondo. If he is hurting Doc Rivers has indicated that he will have to play the seldom used Tony Allen at the point position. If Rondo is out or limited in any way during the game it could be very bad news for a team with little depth at the point guard position. Other than Allen, the other guards on the roster are Eddie House and E.T. (Sam Cassell).

I really hope that the Lakers lose tonight because they haven’t played all that well. Aside from Kobe, the other big name players on the Lakers have soiled the bed lately. Specifically, the over hyped Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, last game they combined for a grand total of 13 points, which is garbage. If both of these guys play that bad again game four will easily go to the Celtics. The smart money tonight is on the Celtics, who will win and take control of the series.

Everybody cheats, sometimes!

June 11, 2008

Ted DonaghyWith the recent news that has surfaced regarding the cheating scandal in the NBA and referee Ted Donaghy, is anyone is really surprised?(Espn) As long as there has been professional sports there have been people who bet on it, and there have been people who cheat. In fact, today it seems there is so much cheating that it is sometimes hard to differentiate between what is actually cheating. To me cheating anything which can alter the outcome of the game, which can be anything from calling fouls or taking steroids.

Ted Donaghy has also come out and pointed fingers to other referees and claimed that they are as guilty as he is. I like this, because for once the refs are finally being called out as cheaters. It seems to me that far too often refs have long been the untouchables of professional sports and are never held responsible for the crappy calls that they make on a daily basis. I am what can be considered casual gambler and I have never bought into the idea that sports can be fixed, yet everyday it seems new information is available which says otherwise. Many times I have been told that certain games are fixed and I never thought they were, until now. I have to say that I do believe Donaghy because it is impossible for nobody else to be in on it with him, he is simply the scapegoat for the problems of the entire league. If someone offered you $100,000 to call a couple of extra fouls, would you? I sure would and I’m sure that many other NBA officials have.

What has also surfaced in this scandal is that Donaghy claims that refs make calls which cater to the superstars and most marketable teams in the NBA. This is also believable as anyone who watches sports can see that the stars get call the calls. It happens in the NBA, the NFL and of course in the NHL. When this is all done I hope David Stern is found out to be the man behind the scenes, responsible for fixing all the games. I really believe that the commissioner has a few skeletons in his closet which would give his credibility another knock if it falls into the wrong hands. So for anyone who still believes that professional sports can’t be fixed, don’t bet on it.
