Jackie Robinson DodgersTotal Pro Sports - First off, we here at Total Pro Sports would like to congratulate Barack Obama on his impressive victory over John Mccain. Obama will be the first ever African American President of the United States of America.

In honor of Barack Obama's historic victory, and his love of sports, we have decided to look at the Top 5 African American firsts in sports.

1. Jackie Robinson, Baseball (MLB)

Jackie Robinson was the first man to break the color barrrier in the MLB and by doing so changed the game forever. Robinson's legacy transcends the sport of baseball as he is one of the most influencial people in all of history. No Tiger! No Ratings!

August 12, 2008

Tiger WoodsIt looks like without Tiger Woods, the PGA should be called the LPGA for its laclustre ratings over the weekend.  We all knew that without the Tiger, the PGA would struggle, but this is a huge problem for PGA commissioner Tim Finchem.

The PGA Championship had a 3.0 rating, down 55% from last year. Also, attendance at the tournaments are significantly down since Tiger shut it down for the season. You could see that this past weekend when Ben Curtis, who had a share for the lead, had  what looked like 10 people following his group. That's embarrassing for a Sunday at a major event.  For all you golf fans out there, you better be watching when the next major rolls around, because if you dont, there might not be one on T.V. for a long time (or at least until Tiger comes back).

You say Tiger, I say Pussycat

June 7, 2008

Tiger WoodsFor years I’ve had to listen to people talk about the great Tiger Woods. Granted, he is one hell of a golfer, but the guy has the personality of mustard. I usually don’t pay much attention to what Woods has to say because most of the time it’s stale and boring, like him. This time however, America’s favorite dork has crossed the line, and now he should pay. It has come to my attention that sometime last week Tiger Woods said something to the effect of “nobody watches hockey anymore”. (espn)

Really, so should I assume that you think golf is better to watch then hockey? Here is a list of sports I would rather watch instead of golf on any day of the week, because most of the participants are manlier then you, any WTA match, the WNBA, gymnastics, and figure skating. I can’t believe he would say such an idiotic statement, wait, yes I can. He also said “its all about the Dodgers”, really, you mean the same Dodger’s that have a record of 29-32, what a great team and record, they should do well this year. Tiger your nothing but a funny looking guy, with an overbite and nothing important to say. If you actually had any sort of opinion you would have said it long ago, but you are to busy being a corporate sponsorship whore.

Here is some free advice for you, stick to the things you know, like paying your wife to continue being married to you, watching Sex and the city, and drinking fruity cocktails. Most importantly, don’t talk about sports that require toughness to play, because like a set of testicles, it is something you lack.
