Michael Phelps, Six Down, Two To Go!
August 15, 2008
Is this guy for real? He made it 6-for-6 at the Beijing Olympics Friday morning. He smashed his own 200 IM world record of 1:54.80 set at last month's U.S Trials, clocking in at an amazing 1:54.23, his sixth world record of the games and placed himself within two gold medals of breaking Mark Spitz's record of seven at a single Olympic Games.
Ryan Lochte tried to pull off an almost impossible double, going against Phelps just 29 minutes after swimming the final of the 200 backstroke. He couldn't keep up, but he did hold on for bronze. Laszlo Cseh of Hungary picked up his third silver of the games, all of them trailing Phelps.
Phelps is just one gold away from tying Spitz's record of seven gold medals at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Who knows, with this guy, anything is possible!
Top 5 Hot Olympic Uniforms
August 11, 2008
As the 2008 Beijing games continue to be broadcast worldwide on daily basis, it is important to prioritize which events to watch. I would say that any of the following would be good choices because of their added value.
The bikinis worn by the players are by far the most visually appealing of all the Olympic uniforms. The best part is that they leave very little to the imagination. They are also a big hit with George W.
These spandex suits really help the athletes get a full range of motion while they are competing. The also help to increase viewership of what is a very boring sport.
In recent years swimmers have donned the more conservative body suits to decrease their times in the pool. They are reminiscent what Catwoman wore in Batman Returns, which is why they make it on to this list.
Who doesn’t like a woman wearing a funny hat and big boots while riding on a horse? I just can’t understand why the horse doesn’t have a hat on.
I can only imagine how hot these women must be under this uniform, literally. Also, the mask that they wear should be standard issue to wear at all times for some of the participants.
Top 5 Hot Olympic Swimmers
August 10, 2008
After doing a little more research I came across these aquatic beauties. I think that this list has by the far the hottest women in the Olympics. Check out these swimmers as they strut their stuff in the pool at the 2008 summer games in Beijing.
1. & 2. Bia and Branca Feres, Brazil, Synchronized swimming,
Who would have that thought there would ever be a reason to tune in and watch Synchronized swimming, now there are two. These two medal hopefulls are easily the hottest women at the games and should get a gold medal for being the hottest Olympians.
3. Amanda Beard, USA, Swimming,
Not only is Amanda smoking hot but she is apparently an excellent swimmer. She is a co-captain of the U.S. team and looks to add another medal to her growing collection. Amanda was also featured in Playboy magazine.
4. Stephanie Rice, Australia, Swimming,
This Aussie bombshell is a defending gold medalist. She has also been known as a quite a party animal as evidence by her many facebook party pics, like the one shown here.
5. Natalie Coughlin, USA, Swimming,
Natalie is yet another stunning co-captain of the USA’s women’s swim team. It is safe to say that female Olympic swimming makes for great T.V. viewing, I know I will be watching.
Top 5 Hot Female Olympians
August 1, 2008
With the Olympics just around the corner it is important to start looking at the things that will make the Beijing 2008 games interesting to watch. Sure, there are the glamour events like Men’s basketball and the 100 meter dash, but I'm not concerned with that here. You see, I would like to take this opportunity to examine the really important things, like who is the hottest female Olympian?
There are many strong candidates in this year’s field, here is my list of top 5 female hot Olympians:
1. Jenny Finch, USA Softball, Everybody’s favorite pitcher and a reason to pretend you care about women’s softball or women's sports in general.
2. Kerry Walsh, USA Beach Volleyball, The hotter half of the world’s best beach Volleyball tandem.
3. Misty May-Treanor, USA Beach Volleyball, The other not-as-but-still-sort of hot half of the U.S. team.
4. Dara Torres, USA Swimming, She gets props for at age 41 being the hottest grandmother at the Olympics.
5. Chen Xiaoli, China Basketball, Almost two meters of Chinese hotness. I bet she has a pair of chicken balls under those shorts.
