This past week in the NBA was an eventful one. There were 2 big trades, the first sent Boris Diaw and Raja Bell to the Charlotte Bobcats for Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley. The second trade was a 3 player trade where the New Orleans Hornets acquired Antonio Daniels, and then sent Mike James to the Washington Wizards. The Memphis Grizzlies then sent Javaris Crittenton to the Washington Wizards.
Also to note, the New York Knicks' Cuttino Mobley retired because of his heart disease.

Total Pro Sports - After losing the #1 spot to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Power Rankings last week. The Boston Celtics regained the #1 spot this week in the ranking. They are currently on a 12 game winning streak and look like they cannot be stopped.
The Los Angeles Lakers last week were #1 in the rankings and now this week fall 2 spots to #3 after losing to the #22 ranked Indiana Pacers. A game in which the Lakers dominated the Pacers all game they lost a huge lead inthe 4th quarter to lose the game. A first for the Lakers, you can be sure this will not happen again this year. If anyone is surprised the Atlanta Hawks are 5-0, with a leader on the point in Mike Bibby the Hawks can finally spread the ball around and compete with every team in the NBA. Go Hawks!!!

Our biggest movers this week in our NBA Power Rankings, were the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks both moving up 13 spots in the power rankings. Surprising or what?
The Atlanta Hawks moved to #7 from previously #20. The Hawks have a perfect record so far and are playing like a well rounded team. Look for them continue with their winning ways.
"Atlanta fans the losing season will finally come to end, you finally have a team that can compete on a nightly basis, congratulation's."
The New York Knicks from #28 to #15. The Knicks finally have a winning record and look to continue with their winning ways. But knowing the Knicks they'll probably crumble a quarter of the season in.

A team that we see making a huge run this season are the Toronto Raptors, if they can stay healthy they will fight for an Eastern Conference Championship. Look for the "New Twin Towers" and Jose Calderon to lead the team deep into the season.

Down 3 to 1 the Lakers are Done!
June 13, 2008
The biggest comeback in NBA playoff history happened tonight at the Staples Center in L.A., and I’m glad to say that the Celtics were on the winning end of it. It seemed that the Lakers didn’t bother showing up for the third quarter and Boston took full advantage and eventually won the game even though they were down by 24 at one point.
After watching the game, one play that stood out in my mind happened during the last minute as Ray Allen was isolated against Sasha “The Machine” Vujacic. It looked like “The Machine” forgot to go for an oil change before the game because he stalled badly when Allen drove past him and made a key field goal.
I wish I could feel sorry for the Lakers as they are fighting for their playoff lives against the Celtics, but I don’t. Kobe is getting what he deserves as he is being exposed a player who can’t get it done without another superstar at his side. I always thought of Kobe as Robin and Shaq as Batman, now it seems all he has to help him is Batgirl (Gasol) and Catwoman (Odom), and that simply won’t get it done. I think the Lakers might take the next game at home and the series should end in six games when the Celtics return to their home court.
The Celtics showed a lot of grit and determination in the game tonight. The most important quality that was evident in the game was their ability to work as team and fight through adversity, something the Lakers and specifically Kobe cannot do.

Celtics will take control
June 12, 2008
Tonight is game 4 of the NBA finals and it is make or break time for Lakers. If the Celtics win tonight, the series is done as they would have a choke hold on the Lakers, However, if the Lakers win it is a brand new series. I have a strong feeling that the Celtics will win tonight because they usually don’t lose back to back games. Also, Garnett and Piece had bad games and they should look to rebound well in game 4.
One wildcard in tonight’s game to watch out for is the health of Rajon Rondo. If he is hurting Doc Rivers has indicated that he will have to play the seldom used Tony Allen at the point position. If Rondo is out or limited in any way during the game it could be very bad news for a team with little depth at the point guard position. Other than Allen, the other guards on the roster are Eddie House and E.T. (Sam Cassell).
I really hope that the Lakers lose tonight because they haven’t played all that well. Aside from Kobe, the other big name players on the Lakers have soiled the bed lately. Specifically, the over hyped Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, last game they combined for a grand total of 13 points, which is garbage. If both of these guys play that bad again game four will easily go to the Celtics. The smart money tonight is on the Celtics, who will win and take control of the series.
The Celtics move to 2-1
May 25, 2008
Boston jumped to a 2-1 series lead saturday after a dominating win over the Pistons.
