Zamboni Falls Off Truck At Wrigley
December 19, 2008
Total Pro Sports - There was a minor accident today at Wrigley Field in Chicago, nobody was seriously injured. Construction workers were preparing for the Winter Classic that will be taking place on January 1st. The 2009 Winter Classic will see the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the Detroit Red Wings.
The accident took place when they were unloading the Zamboni from a flatbed truck, the operator of the truck forgot to tell the Zamboni driver that the flatbed was not on the ground yet. If you can not guess what happened next, the Zamboni fell about 3 feet off the truck The driver of the Zamboni only seems to get a little bit of whiplash, but thankfully that's it.
Thanks to NBCChicago.com who reported this first to the world and caught everything on video.

I really like what GM Scott Howson has done with this team. However, I'm unsure of just how well this team will gel together so that's why I have them ranked this low. Their forward group is solid with Rick Nash, R.J. Umberger, Kristian Huselius, Derick Brassard, Fredrik Modin, Raffi Torres and Michael Peca. I'm also looking for a good year from rookie Jakub Voracek who's looked solid in preseason.
Their defence is the weakest part of this team. They have some simple minded d-men like Christian Backman, Mike Commodore and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen and I'm a fan of both Fedor Tyutin and Kris Russell. The big question is if Rostislav Klesla can finally make the jump and become a true #1 defenceman in the NHL.
They're rock solid between the pipes with Pascal Leclaire and Fredrik Norrena.
At the end of the day it'll come down to defence and I don't have enough confidence in theirs to say that they'll be playing hockey come spring.
You’re not Jordan! NBA Finals Game 6

This display of emotions proves that sporting events are more than a show, and some players are there for more then the money. They are playing a game they love, trying to achieve greatness, and last night the Celtics were great. Many times players leave a legacy behind long after they retire, a legacy that survives not only in the stat books but also, in the minds and hearts of their fans. One day I will be able to tell my children I was there when the big man in green won it all and explained to the world that “Anything is possible.”
