A Ski Trip Not To Remember

Total Pro Sports - My fear of heights is one reason why I don't ski.  But after stumbling across these pictures at The Smoking Gun, Ill add the fear of being nude dangling from a ski lift to the many reasons why I will not ski.

We definitely think this is one of the most embarrassing things that could happen to a person at a ski resort.  A skier at Colorado's luxury Vail ski resort was left dangling upside down, exposed nude to the resort after a freak accident on the ski lift.

"It appeared the chairlift's fold-down seat was not in the correct lowered-down position - causing the man to partially fall through the resulting gap as he attempted to board the lift.  He was prevented from plummeting to the ground below by his right ski, which became jammed in the ascending lift." Pick of the day, June 3rd

DodgersOverall we are now 3-2 on the season with last nights Anaheim Angels play coming through. We have won 3 consecutive games and we can keep the ball rolling.

Todays pick were taking the LA Dodgers (-130). The pitching matchup Dodgers Penny (5-6, 5.66) vs Rockies Francis (1-5, 6.12). Today were taking the Dodgers even though they have yet to prove themselves this season. They are playing a struggling team in the Rockies and facing a pitcher who can't seem to find the same stuff he had last year. Now on the other hand Penny and the Dodgers don't have much more to show for this year, they both sport a loosing record. We like this pick is because, the Dodgers have a winning record at home (16-11) versus the Rockies who sport a supperb record of (8-24) on the road. The Dodgers also have a winning record versus the National League West division (12-9), and the Rockies having a (7-21) record versus their divison. The Rockies have also lost 8 staright games, yes they are do for a win but we dont see them beating the Dodgers today.

  • Penny is 9-0 with a 3.28 ERA in his last 13 starts versus the Rockies, and 14-2 with a 3.06 ERA in 23 career starts.
  • Jeff Francis (1-5, 6.12 ERA), who is 0-1 with a 4.38 ERA in two starts versus Los Angeles this season. But Francis is 4-2 with a 2.96 ERA in 11 lifetime starts against the Dodgers.
