Horrendous NFL Thanksgiving Day Games
November 27, 2008
Total Pro Sports - After tuning into the NFL Thanksgiving games from the Total Pro Sports office this afternoon, we all could not be anymore disappointed that the Detroit Lions again were the first game playing this Thanksgiving.
The Lions against the Titans was an absolute joke, a 47-10 beating for the Titans. The Lions barley looked good enough to beat a High School Team from Toronto.
At least one positive came from this game. If you selected the Titans in their Survivor pool your moving onto the next week, congratulations.
The blame can't all go the NFL, because they really don't know how good teams will be in the upcoming season. But before making the schedule and slotting teams on Thanksgiving, they should determine the games based on the previous years records. Match ups like the Giants and Cowboys or the Patriots and Colts are games the public would love to watch.
College Football Free Picks Week 11
November 7, 2008
Total Pro Sports - Last week was another down week, we went 1-2 to bring or record to a mediocre 8-10. I cannot seem to find the touch when it comes to predicting outcomes, however, I will not quit because I know that it will eventually come.
The only game that we picked correctly last week was a matchup between conference rivals Florida and Georgia in which the line was set too high and we went against all logic. This week were back at it, trying to find the right games to lay money on.
Let's take a look at this weeks College Football Free Picks, we have introduced our first parlay of the season take a look!
1. Kansas State Wildcats @ Missouri Tigers (-27, O/U 67.5)
Pick: Over 67.5 - Josh Freeman and Chase Daniels have been among the most entertaining quarterbacks to watch this season, Saturday will be no exception. We expect these two teams to keep the scoreboard flashing all game long. Missouri still has a lot to play for as the search for a Big 12 North title and Kansas State would love to spoil their party with an upset this weekend.
NFL Power Rankings: Week 9
November 4, 2008
Week: | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
Total Pro Sports - Can the Titans go perfect on the season? They are 8-0 so far and are half way there.
How bout them Dolphins?????????? That's right the Dolphins continue to improve each week. The combination of Chad Pennington, Ronnie Brown and Ted Ginn Jr, make a lethal combination on the field to match up with.
NFL Power Rankings Movers And Shakers
The biggest shaker this week was the New England Patriots losing to the Colts, which saw them drop 8 spots to #14. Did you ever think the Patriots would be ranked #14 this season? This is what happens when you lose your Pro Bowl quarterback for the whole season.
The Dallas Cowboys were the second biggest loser of the week losing 7 spots to #15, after loosing to the surging New York Giants. Do you see the trend here with the Patriots? No QB, an increase of loses in the loss column.
The biggest mover of the week were the Miami Dolphins and the New York jets who both jumped 7 spots to #17 and #10 respectively. The Dolphins won a tough game in Denver against the Broncos and move to .500 on the season.
The New York Jets won a huge division game against the Buffalo Bills. What happened to the Bills? The bills were 4-0 at one point in the season, and now have lost 3-4.
Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 9.
NFL Power Rankings: Week 8
October 29, 2008
Week: | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
Total Pro Sports - Some major changes in the middle of our NFL Power Rankings this week.
The Tennessee Titans are again the #1 ranked team in our NFL Power Rankings with a tough win against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts kept the game close in the first half, but then it was all Titans the rest of the way. The Titans continue to rill both on offense and defense, now that there 7-0 and beating legitimate teams when will people start taking this team seriously?
The biggest loser this week was the Jacksonville Jaguars losing to the Cleveland Browns, which saw them drop 6 spots to #19. What was thought by most Jags fans to be a big year and a run for the Super Bowl, is slowly fading away as the Jaguars slip beneath .500 to 3-4.
The Arizona Cardinals were the second biggest loser of the week losing 5 spots to #12, after loosing to the surging Cleveland Browns. The Cardinals blew this game after holding a lead for most of the game.
The biggest gainer of the week were the Dallas Cowboys who jumped 7 spots to #8, with defensive win over the Bucs. The Cowboys finally played some defense and won a game for their team this week, the Cowboys offense was non existent against the Bucs.
The Baltimore Ravens seem to be back in business after winning back to back games. Joe Flacco is proving all doubters why he is the leader of the team and their future. The Ravens were our second biggest gainer in week 8 of the NFL Power Rankings gaining 5 spots from #21 to #16.
It seems after week 8, teams are finding their stride and getting positioned properly in there deserving spot on the NFL Power Rankings. The top teams are staying and the middle to bottom teams are makign the most moves.
Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 8.
NFL Power Rankings: Week 7
October 21, 2008
Week: | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
Total Pro Sports - Rolling, Rolling, Rolling, Rolling, the Titans keep on Rolling. Even though they played the last place Chiefs the Titans are still undefeated and #1 on our NFL power rankings. Who would have thought without their star Vince Young the Titans would be able to keep dominating teams. Vince Young where have you gone? That's definitely the question that Titans fans are not asking themselves.
The biggest loser in our NFL Power Rankings this week were the Dallas Cowboys losing to the lowly St. Louis Rams, which saw them drop 9 spots to #15. With the loss of Tony Romo for an extended amount of time it seems that the Cowboys season is slowly going down the drain. The Indianapolis Colts are a team in disarray, they lost 8 spots to #17 in our NFL Power Rankings. After winning huge the week before they come into Green Bay and decided to start there practice squad.
The biggest winner this week in our NFL power rankings were the New England Patriots who jumped 9 spots to #9. The New England Patriots looked like the old Patriots when they could not loose a game. Hopefully this continues and the loss of Tom Brady is forgotten. The Packers had the second biggest increase in our power rankings moving up 8 spots to #12. They absolutely destroyed the Indianapolis Colts, and showed no signs that they miss Brett Favre.
Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 7
NFL Power Rankings: Week 6
October 15, 2008
Total Pro Sports - Where have you gone Michael Vick? Do you think Falcons fans even still remember this guy? I don't think so............It seems that this week all the talk is about the huge comeback win for the Atlanta Falcons. What can we say on the development of Matt Ryan? This kid is gonna be a star one day. So poised under pressure he led his team back with basically seconds left on the clock.
The biggest loser in our NFL Power Rankings this week were the New England Patriots losing to the San Diego Chargers, which saw them drop 10 spots to #18. The Patriots got absolutely destroyed by the Chargers in San Diego, without Tom Brady their season is done. Another team this week which lost 10 spots in our NFL Power Rankings were the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens got there feathers wiped off them by the Indianapolis Colts.
The biggest gainer of the week were the Arizona Cardinals who jumped 5 spots to #7, with a huge win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Arizona Cardinals seem to be back on track after back to back wins over 2 top 10 teams in the NFL. There were 2 other teams as well who gained 5 spots in the Power rankings, they were the Buffalo Bills, moving up without even having to play this past week, and the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons moved up to the #13 spot after beating the Bears in the dieing second of the game. The big 3 and the Falcons are for real, keep an eye on them as they continue to improve.
We thought week 6 had some huge moves in the NFL POWER RANKINGS, week 7 was worse.
Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 6

NFL Power Rankings: Week 5
October 8, 2008

Total Pro Sports - Some major changes to our NFL Power Rankings this week.
What can we say about the Washington Redskins again this week. Falling behind 14-0 to the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday and rebounding to win the game and move to 4-1. Did anyone expect Jason Cambell to quarterback his team to such a great start so far? We didn't.
The Tennessee Titans are again the #1 ranked team in our NFL Power Rankings with a tough win against the Baltimore Ravens.
The biggest loser this week was the Green Bay Packers losing to the Atlanta Falcons, which saw them drop 9 spots to #23. The Green Bay Packerslost at home to the surging Falcons, lead by the Big 3 of Ryan, Turner, and White. What can we say about the San Diego Chargers? Coming into the season they were favored to win the Super Bowl. Now it looks as if they might receivea top 8 draft pick in next years draft. The Chargers lost 8 spots to #17, after loosing to the now .500 Miami Dolphins. Week 5 saw some huge drops in our weekly NFL Power Rankings.
The biggest gainer of the week were the Chicago Bears who jumped 8 spots to #11, with an easy win over the Detroit "Lowly" Lions. I guess its true, no offense + great defense = success in the NFL. The Arizona Cardianls seem to be back in business after that ugly loss to the Jets the other week. They came back to Glendale, Arizona and roughed up the entire Bills team. They were our second biggest gainer in our week 5 NFL Power Rankings gaining 7 spots from #19 to #12.
It seems after week 5, teams are finding their stride and getting postioned properly in there deserving spot on the Power Rankings

NFL Power Rankings: Week 4
September 30, 2008

Total Pro Sports - Another high flying week in the NFL and once again we here at TPS have released our NFL Power Rankings first in the world.
After a big loss to the Washington Redskins, the Dallas Cowboys have dropped from the #1 spot, falling only 2 spots to #3. The Redskins looked amazing in this game, Jason Cambell looks like the poised QB he once was at Auburn. Look for the Redskins to have a nice season and hopefully make the playoffs.
The Tennessee Titans seem to be improving every week, now a perfect 4-0 and the #1 ranked team in our NFL Power Rankings with an easy win over the Minnesota Vikings.
The biggest losers this week was the Philadelphia Eagles losing a close one against the Chicago Bears, which saw them drop 7 spots to #13. The Green Bay Packers lost on the road to the surging Tampa Bay Bucs and the Minnestoa Vikings keep falling further and further away from playoff hopes, losing to the #1 ranked team in the league the Titans. The Packers and the Vikings both lost 6 spots in our NFL Power Rankings.
The biggest gainers of the week were the Carolina Panthers who jumped 6 spots to #10, with a big win over the Atlanta Falcons. Who would have expected the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the high flying Denver Broncos? The Chiefs are the second biggest gainer in our week 5 NFL Power Rankings gaining 4 spots from #30 to #26.
Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 4
