Total Pro Sports - Earlier in the year he was a joke, but now he could carry your team. When you heard his name you may have thought of the receiver Yancey. Common mistake. Regardless it is time to pay attention this quarterback from Coastal Carolina. Oh yes boys and girls, Tyler Thigpen. Last week Thigpen threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns against San Diego. Looking ahead, Thigpen toughest match up is Buffalo. With Dwayne Bowe and the emerging Mark Bradley, Thigpen will get to shred New Orleans, Denver and Oakland in the weeks to come.

QB- Matt Hasselbeck, ARI- He’s been forgotten and probably available in your league. Take a flier on this former all-pro. He’s got a nice match up against the Cards.
RB- Peyton Hillis, DEN- Selvin Young? Out. Ryan Torain? Out. Andre Hall? Out. Insert tacky cliché about flies here. Then insert Peyton Hillis. He is their fullback but I bet he gets the most touches this week for the Denver ground game.
WR- Michael Jenkins, ATL- He’s been productive over the past four games. He’ll be up against Denver and will be caught up in a shoot out, which is always a good thing for a receiver.

Total Pro Sports- Hello fantasy fans, can you believe its week 10 already and the Titans are still undefeated. They are looking like the team to beat in AFC especially after the Colts beat the Steelers.
Finally, there was good game on Sunday night as the Giants and Eagles had a prime time slug fest. The Giants definitely look like the cream of the NFC crop and look like they intend on defending their title.
What a week for fantasy football as more than a few players put up some monster stat lines. Thomas Jones and Maurice Jones-Drew both found the end zone 3 times and Adrian Peterson tore up the Packers to lead the Vikings to a big divisional win. Lets see which players made our list this week.

Total Pro Sports - This week in the NFL was very much about backup quarterbacks. The Cowboys Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger both struggled in place of starter Tony Romo.
Bryon Leftwich stepped in for Big Ben on Monday night and led the Steelers to an impressive victory. Ryan Fitzpatrick helped the Bengals get their first win, and Even Rex Grossman a hand in his team beating the Lions.
It is only fitting that this week our Offensive player of the week is Gus Frerotte, who started the year on the bench. Our offensive rookie of the week is Joe Flacco, who was supposed to backup Troy Smith this season but that all changed when Smith was fell ill during the preseason and the rest is history.

Best Offensive Player - Gus Frerotte, QB, Minnesota Vikings.
No, this is not a typo; Gus Frerotte is the offensive player of the week, in our opinion. Call it a slow week for Fantasy Football but, Grampa Gus had himself a dandy of a game. Frerotte completed 11 out of 18 passes and had 3 touchdowns. The Vikings seem to be in much better shape now the Frerotte is the starter and Jackson is nailed to the bench.

Carson Palmer Done For Season

Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is likely to miss the Nov. 2 game against Jacksonville, and one report indicates Palmer might not play again this season at all.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis today said Palmer, who will not play Sunday at Houston, could be lost for an additional week. But Chris Mortensen of ESPN.com is reporting tonight that Palmer has a "frayed" ligament in his right (throwing) elbow and probably will not play for the rest of 2008.
According to Mortensen’s report, Palmer’s injury is to a part of his ulnar collateral ligament, a condition treatable by “Tommy John” ligament-replacement surgery. Mortensen reported that Palmer wants to wait to decide if surgery is the best option.
The Bengals (0-7) have their bye week Nov. 9, and Lewis had indicated Palmer probably would be out at least until after the off week.
But Mortensen’s source said Palmer has asked the Bengals to wait “around two months" before taking any action, such as placing the quarterback on injured reserve. Palmer has not played since Oct..5 after injuring his arm Sept. 21 against the New York Giants.
Today, Lewis said Palmer would play “whenever he gets the green light. He wants to play.” Neither the team nor Palmer has talked specifically about Palmer’s injury or treatment plan.
According to Mortensen’s report, Palmer is bothered less by pain than by a loss of strength in his right hand, which makes it harder to throw. His injury is not believed to be as serious as those suffered by Carolina’s Jake Delhomme and former NFL journeyman Rob Johnson, which would allow Palmer more time before deciding whether to have surgery.

Georgia Tech is playing some of the best defence in the country, however the Cavaliers have been playing some good football themselves, winners of three straight which includes victories over Maryland, East Carolina and North Carolina. Sam Bradford, Oklahoma Sooners - You would have thought that the important loss to Texas may have ratteled his confidence, negetive! He has continued to dominate opponents defences with his pin-point accuracy and his ability to throw the deep ball, coaches are shaking their heads at the plays he is making. This week he set the single game passing mark for a Oklahoma quarterback, throwing for 468 yards and 3 touchdowns while putting up 45 points. Oklahoma is averaging 46.9 PPG this year, they rank third in passing yards per game at 380, and Bradford owns a better than 5:1 touchdown to interception ratio.

Tony Romo Out For Sundays Game

Total Pro Sports - Despite working hard this week trying to get back for Sundays game against the 5-2 Tampa Bay Bucs, the Cowboys medical staff and owner Jerry Jones have decided to sideline there Pro Bowl quarterback one more week.
Maybe Tony Romo should try to get his girlfriend Jessica Simpson to massage his infamous pinkie finger on daily basis, it may just work!
Don't expect the Cowboys to win this game against the Bucs, Tampa Bay has been playing amazing football and there defense is playing stellar. The Boys will be 4-4 after week 8.
