Total Pro Sports - The Los Angeles Lakers are our new #1 after moving up 2 spots from the #3 position in this weeks NBA Power Rankings.

We are getting closer to the mid-way point of the season and we are seeing some surprises, some teams that have picked up where they left off last year and others that have taken a big step backwards.

The Lakers, Celtics, Cavs and Orlando Magic are all looking like the top 4 contenders for the NBA Championship.  Other teams such as the Clippers, Raptors and Bulls have all been surprisingly bad.

Let’s take a look at how teams finished off the final 10 days of 2008 and the first few days of 2009.

CelticsWeek: | Pre - 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Total Pro Sports - The Boston Celtics are on fire and have won their last 18 straight games.  This week they again hold the #1 spot in this weeks NBA Power Rankings.

Will the Boston Celtics ever lose a game again this year?  We don't think so!

The Celtics win 18 in a row and the Toronto Raptors are trying to figure out how to win 1 game.  They started on fire this season but have since cooled down.  The Raptors just keep on falling in the NBA power rankings dropping to the 27th spot this week.  It seems as if the Raptors fans are booing Chris Bosh out of town, if they don't start winning expect some major changes to the team.

Atlanta HawksWeek: | Pre - 1 | 2 |

Total Pro Sports - For the second straight week the Boston Celtics are #1 in our weekly NBA Power Rankings. Look for them to stay #1 for most of the season as the Big Three look to go on to win their 2nd championship.

If anyone is surprised the Atlanta Hawks are 5-0, with a leader on the point in Mike Bibby the Hawks can finally spread the ball around and compete with every team in the NBA. Go Hawks!!!

NBA Power Rankings Movers And Shakers

Green ArrowOur biggest movers this week in our NBA Power Rankings, were the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks both moving up 13 spots in the power rankings. Surprising or what?

The Atlanta Hawks moved to #7 from previously #20. The Hawks have a perfect record so far and are playing like a well rounded team. Look for them continue with their winning ways.

"Atlanta fans the losing season will finally come to end, you finally have a team that can compete on a nightly basis, congratulation's."

The New York Knicks from #28 to #15. The Knicks finally have a winning record and look to continue with their winning ways. But knowing the Knicks they'll probably crumble a quarter of the season in.

The San Antonio Spurs are struggling they dropped from #6 to #16. With the recent loss to Tony Parker the Spurs are in deep trouble.

A team that we see making a huge run this season are the Toronto Raptors, if they can stay healthy they will fight for an Eastern Conference Championship. Look for the "New Twin Towers" and Jose Calderon to lead the team deep into the season.

Kobe Bryant Jumps Over A Car?

October 18, 2008

Kobe Jumps Over CarTotal Pro Sports - DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!  If you have yet to see this video/commercial, this is just crazy, Kobe Bryant "I Got This" of the Los Angeles Lakers, jumps over an Aston Martin in a parking lot.  What looks to be his sidekick "Ronnie Turiaf" former member of the Los Angeles Lakers is there witness it all.  Sicko's or just video editing, which ever one it is this video kept me in awe.

A great viral marketing campaign for NIKE, they are sure to sell a boatload of those NIKE shoes that Kobe Bryant is wearing.  Everyone will think they can jump over cars driving at 65 M/HR.  I'm going out to Footlocker now to buy my pair!

In honesty, a guy making hundreds of millions dollars, probably wouldn't risk his life and career just to film a video or commercial.  It didn't matter how much you pay me, I wouldn't JUST DO IT! Nike.
