Rockets Von Wafer Gets Stuffed By Rim

Total Pro Sports - Shocking but utterly true, this guys name is Von Wafer. We had to double and triple check this name, finally confirming it on last nights box score, and yes the Houston Rockets beat the Boston Celtics last night minus Tracy McGrady.
When reading this name first thing that comes to mind is a wafer cookie "hmmmmmm sooooo good", craving one yet? because I am right now.
Von Wafer's actual name is Vakeaton Quamar Wafer, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 39th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Entry Draft. Last night he helped his Hoston Rockets team defeat the Boston Celtics 89-85, adding 12 points in 27 minutes.
But Wafer didn't make the headlines for his solid play, he make headlines for getting absolutely rejected. While driving the lane in last nights game hoping to dunk it over the Celtics player. Von Wafer gets stuffed by......................The Rim, that's right the Rim 10 feet in the air and falls crashing to his feat. Luckily he didn't break his ankles coming down.

Total Pro Sports - The Los Angeles Lakers are our new #1 after moving up 2 spots from the #3 position in this weeks NBA Power Rankings.
We are getting closer to the mid-way point of the season and we are seeing some surprises, some teams that have picked up where they left off last year and others that have taken a big step backwards.
The Lakers, Celtics, Cavs and Orlando Magic are all looking like the top 4 contenders for the NBA Championship. Other teams such as the Clippers, Raptors and Bulls have all been surprisingly bad.
Let’s take a look at how teams finished off the final 10 days of 2008 and the first few days of 2009.
NBA Power Rankings Movers And Shakers
Our biggest movers this week in our NBA Power Rankings, were the Toronto Raptors and the Minnesota Timberwolves moving up 9 spots in the power rankings. The Raptors moved from #27 to #18 and the Timberwolves moved from #30 to #29.
The Detroit Pistons also had a big move this week, jumping up 8 spots in the rankings from #15 to #7.
Our biggest shakers this week in our NBA Power Rankings for week 10 were the Houston Rockets losing 7 spots in the NBA Power Rankings. The Rockets dropped from #6 to #13 this week.
The LA Clippers dropped from 6 spots from #21 to #27 in this weeks power rankings

Andrea Bargnani For Josh Howard?

Total Pro Sports - Thanks to an inside source of the MLSE, the owners of the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Air Canada Center. They have confirmed reports that the Raptors have begun negotiations with the Dallas Mavericks. These negotiations have also been confirmed at Hoopsworld.com.
The deal being reported would send Josh Howard, Antoine Wright and DaSagna Diop to the Raptors for former first overall draft pick Andrea Bargnani and Anthony Parker to Dallas.
Josh Howard would fit nicely in the Toronto, with Bryan Colangelo's uptempo type teams. A no brainer for the Raptors, especially considering they are in need of a small forward/shooting guard. The only part of this deal that does not make sense is why would the Dallas Mavericks be interested in Andrea Bargnani. A similar but underachieving version of Dirk Nowitzki who both play very little defense.

Total Pro Sports - Take out the Salami and Cheese this game is over!!! Raptor fans you must remember that famous line by Chuck Swirski. Swirski definitely would have said his famous line if he was still broadcasting for the Toronto Raptors, especially after Chris Bosh's unbelievable circus shot against the Orlando Magic this past Sunday.
I have never witnessed or even could imagine a player like Chris Bosh who is 6'11", finish a play like this before. I'm still watching the replay as you read this, trying to figure out how he managed to get the ball in the basket. The Referee of course on the play never called continuation so the basket did not count.

Marbury May Be Boston-Bound

Total Pro Sports - Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and now Stephon Marbury???????
Is this a good move or a bad move for the Celtics? In recent years it seems that every team that Starbury goes to he becomes a cancer in the locker room and the teams slowly fall apart. With leaders in Garnett, Pierce and Allen it may be just the right fit for Marbury.
At 28-5 and 1st in the NBA we don't think the Celtics need anyone else to win another championship. But if Stephon Marbury can just worry about the game and lose the star over his head. It's scary what the Boston Celtics may be capable in doing.
Is 52-0 for the rest of the season possible? Maybe but highly unlikely.
Charles Barkley: ‘I Just Wanted Oral Sex’

Total Pro Sports - If anyone missed it on this past Monday Charles Barkley was pulled over in Arizona and busted for Drinking and Driving. When police pulled him over he told them he was in a rush and ran the stop sign because to get some oral sex.
Charles used the best excuse of them all the sex excuse. Lucky another car wasn't coming or a pedestrian wasn't crossing the road at the time. What would have been his excuse then to the victims family? He was in a rush to get a blow. Don't get me wrong some of us have done some stupid things for sex, but what officer let you off with an excuse like this?
According to the Gilbert Police officer who pulled Charles Barkley over and wrote the report noted that,
"He told me that he ran the stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up the girl I saw get in the passenger seat."

Total Pro Sports - A simple rule that most people seem to find very difficult to follow is "DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!" But still to this day people take the chance night after night, putting themselves and other people's lives at risk.
Charles Barkley has officially joined the group!
All the money and fame in the world you would hope that a guy like Charles Barkley who knew he was going out for some drinks would be smart enough to hire a driver or even call a cab to get him home.
At 1:30 am a Gilbert police officer spotted the former NBA star running a stop sign. He immediately pulled him over where and smelled alcohol on him. Charles Barkley proceeded to fail a standard of field sobriety tests and declined to submit to a breath test but was given a blood test. He was immediately arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Baron Davis Denies He Wants Off The Clippers

Total Pro Sports - Back and forth they go. Last week there were reports that Baron Davis wanted out of Los Angeles, now today he is denying all those reports.
We see why he would want off an 8-21 Clippers team struggling to stay in games. But going back to the Golden State Warriors is no improvement they are only 10-23 coming off their 10th win last night against the Toronto Raptors.
This is definitely not the end of it, we should hear more of this in the upcoming weeks.

James To Wear The Chalk Shoe On Christmas

Total Pro Sports - Lebron James will unveil his new sneaker on Christmas Day at Quicken Loans Arena in what will be a winter wonderland. The "Chalk" shoe which is a signature version of his James Nike sneaker and a tribute to his pregame ritual of tossing and blowing hand rosin into the air above the scorer's table before he takes the court.
For LeBron James ritual Nike will provide confetti packets to the Cleveland Cavalier fans to throw in the air with James at the beginning of the game.
The "Chalk" shoe is the ninth edition of James' Zoom LeBron VI line. Last month, he wore a "Big Apple" model of the shoe when the Cavs played in New York. The new shoe includes a silhouette of James' chalk toss on the tongue.
If you can get a hold a pair of these rare sneakers be sure to buy them, because they definitley be worth alot of money when King James retires.

Total Pro Sports - The Boston Celtics are on fire and have won their last 18 straight games. This week they again hold the #1 spot in this weeks NBA Power Rankings.
Will the Boston Celtics ever lose a game again this year? We don't think so!
The Celtics win 18 in a row and the Toronto Raptors are trying to figure out how to win 1 game. They started on fire this season but have since cooled down. The Raptors just keep on falling in the NBA power rankings dropping to the 27th spot this week. It seems as if the Raptors fans are booing Chris Bosh out of town, if they don't start winning expect some major changes to the team.
