Gators Major Wright Decapitates Sooners Manny Johnson
January 9, 2009
Total Pro Sports - Being a former hockey player the first thing I was taught was to keep my head up. Coaches constantly drilled this into our heads when we were younger, so that during the games we would remember this and avoid possible serious injury.
During last night's BCS National Championship Game, Oklahoma's 3rd play from scrimmage Sam Bradford tried to hit wide receiver Manny Johnson on the sideline. The pass was almost perfect by Bradford, but reached Manny Johnson the same time that Florida Gators Safety Major Wright came in for the hit.
Major Wright absolutely decapitates Manny Johnson and for a minute there I thought he may be dead. But Johnson jumps back to his feet as nothing happened.
You can bet Manny Johnson learned his lesson and will keep his head up from now on.
Watch the video of the Major Wright's hit here.
Sam Bradford To Declare For The NFL Draft
January 8, 2009
Total Pro Sports - It seems that Heisman Trophy Winner Sam Bradford, barring a serious injury in the National Championship game will declare for the NFL draft. We feel that the 6 foot 4, 218 pound quarterback is ready to begin his learning process in the NFL, Bradford has shown growth in his 2 years at the University of Oklahoma. He helped the Oklahoma Sooners set college football records in touchdowns and points, and set an individual record in passing efficiency this season.
The question that hangs in the balance is, "where in the draft will he go?" With Georgia's, Mathew Stafford already having declared, Sam Bradford will likely be the second overall quarterback to be drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft.
“Bradford instantly jumps toward the head of the quarterback class in the 2009 draft and will battle Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford for the top quarterback spot" The National Football Post Reports

BCS Championship Betting Preview: Florida Gators vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Can the SEC earn a third consecutive BCS title game rout? Can Oklahoma prove the Big 12 is stiffer competition that the Big Ten has offered the past two seasons?
The national title will be on the line on January 8 when the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners meet at Dolphin Stadium in the BCS Championship Game. It's a battle between two 12-1 teams, who dominated ATS as well.
Oddsmakers currently have the Gators listed as 5-point favorites versus the Sooners, while the game's total is sitting at 69½.
Florida scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally for a 31-20 victory over Alabama in Week 15.
Florida failed to cover the 10-point spread, and the 51 points went UNDER the posted total of 54.5.
Tim Tebow completed 14-of-22 pass attempts for 217 yards with three touchdowns to lead the way for the Gators in the game.
Oklahoma won their third straight Big 12 championship with a convincing 62-21 win over Missouri last time out.
Rey Maualuga Apologizes To Erin Andrews
January 7, 2009
Total Pro Sports - After an eventful Rose Bowl and the surfacing of the pre-game video of Rey Mauluga grinding like he was in a night club on the sideline with Erin Andrews. It was definitely the game to watch.
But once again a little situation has been blown out of proportion by the Women's Sports Foundation. Rey Maualuga was just having a little fun with Erin Andrews on the sideline. Yes we agree that Erin never knew he was behind her, but he never touched her or did anything we think was wrong.
Donna Lopiano, former CEO of the Women's Sports Foundation, called Rey Maualuga
"my first-round pick for 'offensive' player of the year" and his dance behind Andrews "another example of a narcissistic, high-profile athlete believing that any behavior, no matter how inappropriate, is acceptable because of his status. For those who would laugh off, celebrate or enable this behavior, think twice. Ms. Andrews could be your sister, daughter or wife."

Rey Maualuga Grinds With Erin Andrews At The Rose Bowl
January 5, 2009
Total Pro Sports - If anyone missed this video replay like we did during the Rose Bowl, then you have to check it out. We actually just came across this video right now searching on You Tube for USC Rose Bowl Highlights. Easily the funniest video of this early 2009.
Rey Maualuga of the University Of Southern California Trojans decided it was fitting to celebrate New Years and Bump and Grind like he was at a night club with ESPN reporter Erin Andrews. If you don't know who Erin Andrews is she is smoke show who definitely is one of the Sexiest Sportscasters.
We voted for at PlayBoy.com's 2009 Sexiest Sportscaster.
Rey Maualuga sneaks up behind Erin Andrews with out her ever noticing and does a little shake and grind. She only notices after Rey walks in front.

Stoops Gets $3 Million, What About The Players?
January 2, 2009
Total Pro Sports - The Oklahoma Sooners coach Bob Stoops will receive a $3 million bonus for coaching the Sooners for 10 consecutive years. Bob Stoops replaced John Blake back in 1998. The Oklahoma Sooner will go on to face the Florida Gators in this years BCS National Championship Game.
This topic always creates a discussion every time a team or coach receives some kind of sponsorship or bonus. If the NCAA will allow bonuses for coaches, then we think players should be compensated as well. We can not justify the fact that all these college football teams are making millions upon millions of dollars from TV deals, sponsorships and stadium revenue.
