For over 30 years the Denver Broncos played out of Mile High Stadium, in 1998 owner of the Broncos Pat Bowlen got approval to build a new stadium adjacent from Mile High. In 1999 construction began and 2 years later, Invesco Field at Mile High was born. The Mile High name was kept in tradition with the original birth place of the Denver Broncos.
The Denver Broncos played their first game at Invesco Field on September 10th, 2001 to a sell out crowd of over 76000 fans. The seats at Invesco have been colored Orange, Blue and white and atop the upper deck the Bronco logo has been incorporated in the seating. From an aerial view architects designed the stadiuto look like a horseshoe, symbolizes the Bronco.
Invesco Field also has many amenities; The Broncos team store, the Colorado Hall of Fame, and the Sports Legends Mall Legacy Walk. The Sports Legends Mall Legacy Walk hosts pre-game activities for all ages young and old.
