All of these fights took place within the opening four minutes of the game, with three occurring in the first four seconds. You can catch those three fights, along with the two goals that were scored shortly after, here. Below you will find the final bout of the night, between Burish and Ference. Enjoy!

The Chicago Tribune weren’t the only ones taking a shot at Chris Pronger. Even after the Stanley Cup Finals series had been decided and the Chicago Blackhawks were awarded the Stanley Cup, forward Adam Burish had some rather harsh words for the Philadelphia Flyers’ defenseman.

When asked by a reporter what he really though of Pronger, now that the series had ended, Burish replied by saying, “I think Chris Pronger is the biggest idiot in the league. I can’t stand the guy one bit. I hope I never have to see him again. If I see him out there I might punch him.”

Then, when asked to comment on the Tribune’s “Chrissy Pronger” front page, Burish’s response was, “That’s perfect! He should have worn that out here tonight, he’s terrible.”

Talk about kicking a man while he’s down! Them fighting words!

Here is a look at the entire interview. It is quite entertaining, to say the least.

Sitting out for their team’s Friday night game against the visiting Montreal Canadiens, the two were spotted in the press box in outfits that looked like something you would expect to find in the closet of fellow teammate Dustin Byfuglien.

Getting with the Halloween spirit, the two decided to strap on their baby blue and orange tuxedos, a la Dumb and Dumber. With Toews playing the role of Jim Carey and Burish as Jeff Daniels, the two seemingly enjoyed their time off as they indulged in some candy and watched their team record the 3-2 victory.

Toews has been sitting out with an “upper body injury,” while Burish is expected to be sidelined for up to 6 months with a torn ACL. It may be difficult to watch from the stands as your team battles it out on the ice, but for this one night, both Toews and Burish made the most of it, showing us all that the best costumes don’t always have to be the skimpiest.

In honor of this freak accident we have decided to compile a list of “The 5 Scariest Ice Skate Lacerations Of All Time“.

We warn you if you have a weak stomach please do not watch these videos!

5. During a pairs skating competition in Colorado Springs, Colorado Bryce Davison’s skate blade hits partner Jessica Dube in the face. She is rushed off the ice suffering severe facial lacerations. She eventually returns to action, but needs 80 stitches to repair the damage

4. On Nov 30th, 2006 during the Washington Capitals and Dallas Stars game. Capitals defenseman Jamie Heward was hit in the face by the skate of Mike Modano. Heward immediately dropped to his knees and then rushed off the ice to seek immediate assistance. Jamie Heward received only multiple stitches and some plastic surgery to repair the damage.

3. In Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks, forward Adam Burish of the Blackhawks was against the boards when his teammate Ben Eager’s skate came up hitting him in the neck causing lacerations that could have ended his career or even worse his life.

2. On March, 1989, Buffalo Sabres goaltender Clint Malarchuk suffered one of the most horrifying injuries of all time. Steve Tuttle of the St. Louis Blues and the Sabre’s Uwe Krupp collided near Malarchuk’s goal and Tuttle’s skate sliced Malarchuk’s neck, slicing open his external carotid artery. With pools of blood filling virtually the entirety of the goal crease, Malarchuk somehow left the ice under his own power with the assistance of the Sabres’ team trainer. Clint Malarchuk spent only one night in the hospital, and was back on the ice with his team two weeks later.

1. On Febuary 11th , 2008 , Florida Panthers Richard Zednik linemate Olli Jokinen was being checked in the Sabres’ zone – fell forward and his skate accidentally flew up and caught the right side of Zednik’s neck. Bleeding profusely from the cut Zednik was able to skate toward his bench where he was met by the trainer and immediately ushered to the locker room. Thankfully Richar Zednik made a full recovery and is back on the ice playing still for the Florida Panthers.

In yesterday’s Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks, forward Adam Burish of the Blackhawks was against the boards when his teammate Ben Eager’s skate came up hitting him in the neck causing lacerations that could have ended his career or even worse his life.

Ben Eager fell over a Detroit Red Wings player and accidentally hit Burrish in the neck with his skate. Thankfully Adam Burrish was able to skate off the ice with only neck scrapes. If you don’t believe us all you have to do is listen to the tone of the commentator’s voice,

“This is terrifying, close your eyes if you don’t like it.”

This also happened to Richard Zednik of the Florida Panthers back in 2008 and luckily for him he made the quick decision to skate to his trainer on the bench, who then controlled the bleeding, while his neck was gushing. (Video after the jump ) Hockey is a dangerous sport if you don’t take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and your body with the equipment approved by government standards.

take a look for yourself and see what we mean…..We warn you if you have a weak stomach please do not watch this video!

When asked about if we would rather play the Pens without Crosby in their lineup Burish Said “I Don’t know who Sidney Crosby is, so I don’t care if hes playing or not”. He said it in tongue and cheek kind of way, but its a ridiculous comment anyway you look at it.

The only question I have after watching the video is, who the hell is Adam Burish? For those of you who don’t know, Burish has an amazing 8 points this year for the Blackhawks, but he only appeared in 44 games. I think he’s just jealous that he will never be anywhere near as good as Crosby, so he feels the need to call him a whiner By the way the Pens beat the Blackhawks last night, good Job Adam.

Hey Adam why don’t you spend less time shooting you mouth off and more time working on you shooting skills. In a couple of years you won’t be in the league anymore and Crosby will still be one of the best, maybe then you might know who he is.
