After thinking about what the tennis world has lost for the past week, I found myself searching through the internet to find some videos of what once was Simona’s wonderful chest.  Let’s just say that the search was a success.

The first video here is a tribute to boobs in tennis.  It opens with a clip of Simona Halep and also features other tennis stars such as Maria Sharapova and Anna Kournikova (pre-catfight).  Keep an eye out for the unknown Asian woman bouncing around the court.  Is Simona thought she had a problem with her breasts before, she has no clue.

The second video we found courtesy of SportsbyBrooks.  It is a nice little bit on Simona that gives us an in-depth look at “her game” (wink, wink).  Is it just me or is all that bouncing hypnotizing.

Milani, the hour-glass figures beauty, is capable of putting on a show of her own, but habing Chelsea can’t be a bad thing for onlookers.  Those in their vicinity surely got to see their fair share of round object bouncing around.

May we suggest Denise and Chelsea throw out an opening pitch some time soon.  Catching that kind of action live is well worth the price of admission.  They did it with the Kardashians before and it seemed to work out well.

The saga continues for this 17-year-old tennis star as her large breasts continue to get enormous amounts of publicity.  First she revealed her plans to get breast reduction surgery, then such plans became all to real as it was reported that she had scheduled a date with the hospital.  Now tennis fans and breast fans alike are showing their support for Simona’s sweater-puppets by beginning a facebook group which is against the breast reduction surgery.  I wonder if Alena Schurkova is a member of the group yet?

How this will affect her decision remains unknown.  As of now (Momnday, April 15, 2009 @ 1:30pm) there are 798 members of this group.  The goal is one million, as stated in the group name, “Juntemos un millon de firmas para que SIMONA HALEP no se reduzca los senos” (Together a million signatures for Simona Halep not to reduced her breasts).  If there was ever a worthy cause that needed your support, here it is.

The rising 17-year-old tennis star has received a lot of attention because of her busty figure.  The focus on her then increased when she announced her intentions to reduce her breast size just over a week ago.  Late last week, reports indicated that she had booked her date for surgery in the fall.  Why did she decide to do such a thing?  Halep responded with the following:

“The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play. It’s the weight that troubles me – my ability to react quickly.”

At that point many had thought all hope was lost, but here comes Alena Schurkova to the rescue.  Alena was South Africa’s top seeded volleyball player at one time, and has stated that such a decision for Simona would do more harm than good:

“If she does this it sends out the message that girls with big boobs can’t play sports and that is just wrong.  I am 32E and I have never found them to be a problem.  To be honest I wouldn’t mind having bigger boobs. I could be double what I have and I would still be OK to perform.  I do a lot more explosive movements than her, throwing myself around on the beach volleyball court, so I don’t really understand the argument that it’s restrictive having bigger breasts.” [TheSun]

She also mentioned the negative effect that such a layoff could pose to the young star at this point in her career:

“There will definitely be a long lay-off for recovery.  Compared to Breast Augmentation, reduction is rather invasive and severe.  With that long lay-off her fitness level will go down, no question about it. So time lost on court and getting back to fitness could harm her career more than having big breasts.”

Alena would also point to another female tennis player, Serena Williams, as proof that breasts need not be an obstacle in one’s game.  Instead, all that is really needed is a “good support bra.”

It will now be interesting to see if Simona Halep takes this sound advice.  Alena makes a valid point when using herself and Serena Williams as examples.  She maybe should have also mentioned the publicity that giant “sweater-puppets” can get you, although that perhaps is something Simona may have already figured out herself.  An unknown for her tennis skills, the name “Simona Halep” has begun to grow ever more popular, and being ranked 315th in the world, we don’t suppose that has anything to do with what she has done on the court thus far.

Make us proud Simona.  Make the right decision and play with what you parents gave you.  In a sports world that is being overrun by performance enhancing drugs and other artificialities, it is time for someone to step up and become the poster child for “staying natural.”  You can be that someone!

Total Pro Sports – Many of us may have thought her previous threat to undergo breast reduction surgery would not fall through. Maybe she would realize how much those breasts meant to her fans. Perhaps she would understand that this can be the move that makes or breaks her promising career.Well the surgery has been booked, and let me be the first to shed a tear during this sad moment in the world of sports.

Reports indicate that the 34DD-sized Romanian tennis star, Simona Halep, has booked herself into a private hospital for surgery in the fall. When asked about the decision, Simona stated the following: “This fall I’ll have a breast reduction operation. The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play. It’s the weight that troubles me – my ability to react quickly.” [TheSun]

While Simona believes that the reduction will give her less weight to carry around, making it easier for her to win some points, what she may also need to realize is that the loss of her large boob size will likely result in the loss of many fans. Anna Kournikova didn’t need to be the best tennis player to make millions of dollars from it.

Looks seem to go a lot further in woman’s tennis these days, but that road may soon close itself for simona halep. The exact date of the surgery is still unknown, but we here at TPS will continue to keep you posted on that as well as the chosen size and any other information we receive regarding our favorite tennis player, Simona Halep.

Total Pro Sports – It is a sad day in woman’s tennis.  Roughly one month after TPS brought you the rising star of the WTA, Simona Halep, we now regret to inform you that she is strongly considering breast reduction.  I guess this answers most people question, “how does she play with those things?”  Apparently, she can’t!

Earlier this month in an interview with the Romanian site ProSport, Simona Halep stated her wishes to have breast reduction surgery.  Upon explaining her reasoning behind such a decision, she pointed to the added weight and difficulty in carrying her jugs over to every ball that gets hit her way.  Here is a translation of her interview:

“I do not believe that physical appearance has an effect on performance, so I help with anything in the sport. My mind bust when I go on the field and even if I were sporting, I would have felt very good. (My Breasts) inconvenience me, it’s very hard with them. It’s a weight in addition to confound me speed response. I can not go on very well. Shoot me down. Nothing in life is not like me even though sport was not all I was doing surgery”, revealed Halep. “Surgical intervention should take place last year, but probably will use it in autumn, because the postponement might cause problems in the column.” [ProSport.ro]

It would be interesting to see if this will help her opponents out as well, now that they can concentrate on one moving tennis ball, without the additional bouncing soccer balls behind it.  What we do know is that simona halep should be much faster on the court, and will give herself more room to swing with the reduction, but lets hope this doesn’t take away from her fame.  Should she have a long and successful tennis career, the move will be well worth it, but should she flame out, then she will likely wish she still had those two giant airbags to save her.

Surgery is expected to take place some time next year.  It is unclear what size she plans on going down too.  We here at TPS will keep you posted on this breaking news.
