Bryant is a great all-around player, but doesn’t seem to be a great teammate.  Even in tonights game his selfish style was in full effect.  I know its the All-Star game and everybody, but why not get your teammates involved a little more.  This years game was full of young players trying to showcase their skills.  Instead many of them watched Kobe Bryant practice his shooting skills.  I would have enjoyed seeing Kobe play the role set-up man in this game, creating chances for the likes of Amare Stoutemire and Brandon Roy.

I’m glad that Shaq got a piece of the award because I know how much it must burn Bryant.  I can only imagine how many more championships these guys would have won if they played a few more years together.  Kobe still has to prove to me that he can win a championship without the Big Diesel until then he will be considered a selfish player.

During the game Caron Butler of the Wizards tried driving the lane to beat the lone defender “Shaq” guarding the basket. Shaq wasn’t gonna let the speedy Butler get by him, so he fouled him with an unconventional bear hug.  Being a good sport that Caron Butler is he just walked away from the hard foul (Realistically he has no chance in a fight with Shaq).  As he walked away Shaquille O’Neal grabbed him and kissed him on the head to make up for the hard foul.  Butler just seemingly walked away with a smile and laughed with the crowd, as Shaq kept the straightest face without budging a smile.

You can count on Shaq to do something laughable like this once a game, in Toronto 2 weeks ago during the player introductions he tossed rookie Robin Lopez to the ground.  So next time Shaq and the Phoenix Suns are in town have your cameras ready cause Big Shaq Daddy will won’t disappoint.
