If anyone ever questioned Julian Velazquez’s dedication to his soccer club before, they likely will never do so again after watching the clip below.

If comes from an Argentine League game against Boca Juniors, as the Independiente defender sacrificed his manhood to save a goal, sliding crotch first into the goalpost in an effort to clear the ball off the goal line.  Velazquez’s efforts were successful, as he made the clearance and kept his team within one goal, but that play would end up being his last of the game, as he was substituted for obvious reasons.

Here is a look at one of the most painful goal line clearances you will ever witness.

Broken legs and not exactly a rarity in the game of soccer, and while we have even seen goalkeepers suffer from such painful injuries, it is not often that they are the ones dishing them out.  But that all changed when a vicious challenge from Boca Juniors goalie Jose Allende snapped the leg of Sevilla’s Jose like a twig during an U-19 match last week.

The young Jose will undoubtedly miss an extended period of time due to the injury.  As for Allende, he was shown a measly yellow card.  If you are thinking to yourself, “that doesn’t seem fair”, you aren’t the only one.

During a match against the Boca Juniors, both Sebastian Romero (on the left) and Marco Perez leaped into the air, simultaneously, and bicycle-kicked a rebound of a Boca defender home for the goal.  Upon further review, it is difficult to tell who really scored the goal.  In my opinion, the only fair solution would be to award both Romero and Perez with a half-goal each, however, in the end it was Perez who was given sole credit for this extraordinary team effort.

The fact that Perez was the first one up to celebrate the goal probably didn’t hurt his cause either.  Sorry Romero, but you snooze, you lose a goal.

Unfortunately, there were no boobs in sight for a match between the Boca Juniors and River Plate U-14 teams, but there was plenty of testosterone and flying fists to go around.

In what is a heated rivalry, the youth teams of the two popular Argentine soccer league clubs brought the same intensity to the field that you would expect from their older mentors.

It all started when River Plate was awarded a penalty kick late in the game.  That seemed to infuriate the Boca coach (he did however refrain from fighting any players), and soon enough such anger became evident within the players on the field.  What began with some shoving ended in punches and kicks from all angles as the refs and members of the coaching staffs attempted to break things up.

Cooler heads would eventually prevail and the penalty kick was taken.

Needless to say, it was a GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!
