This Arizona Cardinals cheerleader appears to be taking a cue from her team’s corners, who often look like they are running away from the opposing team’s wide receivers, rather than trying to run with them in coverage. However, they did do a good job covering the ever-so-dangerous Brandon Lloyd on this day, limiting him to just three receptions for 32 yards.

Although Lloyd has been able to instill fear into the opposition’s secondary on several occasions this season, the only person in the University of Phoenix Stadium who appeared to be even the slightest bit afraid of the Broncos’ wideout last Sunday was this fleeing cheerleader.

I sure as hell hope that all NFL teams have been upgrading the size of their trainer’s rooms, because 2010 appears to be the year of the injury. Much like the previous three weeks, week four was littered with key injuries. Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy both sustained rib injuries in the Eagles’ loss to the Redskins, while Darren McFadden and Clinton Portis once again appear to be unable to shed their injury-prone labels. So with the bumps, bruises, tears and pulls adding up, several names on the waiver wire have suddenly become quite valuable.

Here are a few of those names you may want to pick up. They may become quite useful as teams enter their bye weeks.

Sam Bradford, QB, STL – If you were one of the many unfortunate owners that placed your hope in the return of Michael Vick, you may find yourself desperate for a replacement quarterback for the next couple of week. If so, Sam Bradford is the perfect fit for you. The Rams’ rookie quarterback has six touchdowns and 944 yards through his first four weeks of the season, and a week five battle against the Lions’ poor secondary should only help him increase those numbers.

Kevin Kolb, QB, PHI – Following Andy Reid’s announcement that Michael Vick would be the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, many owners were quick to drop Kevin Kolb. The Eagles’ quarterback is hoping to make those owners regret their decision when he takes over the starting duties while Vick deals with a rib injury. Kolb has not looked good in his five quarters of play, but with a full week of practice, a number of weapons at his disposal, and a suspect 49ers secondary next on the schedule for him, this may be the opportunity he needs to make a name for himself as the Eagles true quarterback of the future, and maybe even their quarterback of the present.

Ryan Torain, RB, WSH - We all knew that it was only a matter of time before Clinton Portis went down with an injury, and it appears as though that time has come. Portis appeared to be nursing an injury throughout his game on Sunday, and while he was on the bench Torain filled in quite nicely to the tune of 70 yards and a touchdown. Judging by Portis’ injury history, that likely wont be the last you see of Torain this season. Get him on your roster now, before he becomes the starter in Washington for good.

Michael Bush, RB, OAK – Darren McFadden got off to a scorching start this season, but those who know him best knew it was likely only a matter of time before he went down with an injury. Lo and behold, McFadden sustained a hamstring injury that kept him out for the end of the Raiders’ thriller with the Texans on Sunday. Hamstring issues have a tendency to linger (see Knowshon Moreno), so that could be just what Michael Bush needed to move back atop the depth chart in the Raiders’ backfield.

Brandon Lloyd, WR, DEN – Throughout the first couple of weeks it was somewhat difficult to sort through the Broncos receivers in search of some fantasy value, but after four weeks it appears as though Brandon Lloyd has asserted himself as the big play target for Kyle Orton. Despite having to split targets with the likes of Jabar Gaffney, Demaryius Thomas, and Eddie Royal, Lloyd is still having a career year, and his 454 yards and one touchdown currently have him sitting among the top five fantasy receivers in standard scoring leagues. Some have already jumped on the Brandon Lloyd bandwagon, but if no one in your league has done so yet, I suggest you be the first.

On one hand you can find a gem like Donnie Avery, 6 receptions, 163 yards and a touchdown. On the other hand Josh Morgan can get you a grand total of zero points. If you were on the Avery bandwagon, enjoy the waiver wire gold. If you jumped on Morgan’s bandwagon, don’t be discouraged. A waiver wire find can be the difference between first or second place.

Lets take a look at this weeks Fantasy Football Wavier Wire.

WR – Ted Ginn Jr, MIA – Two weeks ago he had one catch for a one yard loss. Last week Ginn had 7 receptions for 175 yards. It looks like he’s clicking with Chad Pennington and he’ll have a nice match up against the Broncos this week.

WR – Mike Walker, JAC – With Matt Jones on suspension, Walker might be the biggest beneficiary. In week 5, before being sidelined with an injury, Walker put up six receptions for 106 yards against a stingy Steelers defense. Expect numbers around four receptions and 70 yards from second year receiver.

WR – Brandon Lloyd, CHI – He’s another receiver coming off of an injury. Lucky for him he gets to play the hopeless Detroit Lions. Look for a solid day from Lloyd. Six receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown wouldn’t be out of the question.

QB – Shaun Hill, SF – Who’s is he you ask? He looks like he might be the new quarterback of the San Fransisco 49ers. After J.T. O’Sullivan was benched during last week’s loss to the pathectic Seahawks, new head coach Mike Singletary opted for the long-time backup. Posting a respectable 173 yards and a touchdown, Hill is worth a look in Mike Martz’s offense. He is on bye this week but his upcoming schedule is favorable with Arizona and St. Louis on deck.

RB – Ryan Torain, DEN – Life has two certainties, death and taxes. So does fantasy football. One that a Denver running back will break out. Two that running back will be someone that you might have never heard of (Mike Bell). My bet is on Torain. While Michael Pittman has run the ball nicely for the Broncos, Torain looks like he‘ll make an immediate impact.

RB – Kevin Faulk, NWE - As much as I hate to admit it the Patriots are amazing. Without Tom Brady and on their third string running back, they are 5-2. With injuries to Laurence Maroney and Sammy Morris, the Patriots turned to Kevin Faulk. His response: 107 total yards, four catches, and a touchdown. He should get the rock plenty verse the Colts this Sunday night.

K – John Carney, NYG – I laugh at anyone who takes a kicker before the last round in fantasy drafts. Actually I usually don’t take a kicker. They are too hard to predict and too much alike. I usually just trade them in on a weekly basis. This week I’ll take a shot on Carney. He was 4-4 last week and faces a less than stellar Dallas defense.

DEF – Carolina Panthers – They won’t be much help this week, since they are one a bye, but in the two weeks following they face the Raiders and Lions. Dan Orlovsky and JaMarcus Russel should be plenty generous to Panther D. If you do need a defense, the Cardinals would be a decent fill in this week against St. Louis.

Be sure to check back next week with for week 10 Fantasy Football Wavier Wire.
