Today Total Pro Sports brings you a list of the 25 most-followed athletes on Twitter. There are some on the list you would expect, but there also a handful that will surprise you.

If Chad Ochocinco does end up finding someone to live with in the Boston area, I doubt they will be able to offer the newly acquired Patriots receiver with the same amenities that occupy his Florida mansion; namely the giant aquarium headboard found at the top end of his bed.

Now that he is playing in New England, Ochocinco will have to face the Dolphins twice this season, but he still appears to be a big fan of the fish, as he not only takes in the sight of his aquatic creatures while tucking himself into bed, but he also gets to watch them and his three televisions at the same time, thanks to his incredible aquarium/entertainment center (image below), which was created by Wayde King and Brett Raymer and their Acrylic Tank Manufacturing company.

These days Ochocinco probably falls asleep dreaming about fish, and hopefully those dreams don’t turn to nightmares following the Patriots’ week one game against the Dolphins.

Would you be interested in living with Chad Ochocinco for a few weeks?

The newly acquired Patriots receiver is looking to get to know his new home a little better, and what better way to do so than by living with a Patriots fan for a few weeks.  During an interview following Tuesday’s practice, Ochocinco had the following to say:

“I’m going to do something different, I’m actually going to stay with a fan for the first two, three weeks of the season.  That should be fun, until I get myself acclimated and learn my way around…I’m not sure how it’s going to work, but they have to have Internet and have to have Xbox.  That’s about it.”

No word yet on who that fan is or how they will be chosen.  If Chad’s smart, he may want to add big breasts, a tight body and a gorgeous face to his list of requirements.

Chad Ochocinco

The newly acquired Patriots wideout called out the UFC Welterweight Champion during a recent photo shoot for Tapout mouthguards and Real G Wristbands.  He even went so far as to claim that he “isn’t gonna lose to no f*ckin Canadian.”

As a Canadian, I’d like to see him back up that smack talk and step into the octagon with GSP.  On second thought, as an owner of Tom Brady and Chad Ochocinco in one of my fantasy football keeper leagues, maybe it is in my best interests that he doesn’t follow through with this challenge.

While taking questions following Saturday’s practice, one reporter asked Belichick about Ochocinco’s Twitter habits and whether the outspoken receiver’s declining use of the social media website was the result of a request from his head coach.  He responded with the following statement:

“That’s not something that I follow.  I don’t Twitter.  I don’t do MyFace.  I don’t use Yearbook.  I don’t do any of those things so I’d probably be the last to know.”

I’d hate to break it to you Bill, but you are not alone.  I don’t believe anyone in the world does MyFace or uses Yearbook.  Not even Ochocinco.  Although, if Eighty-Five had the option of using any of those non-existent programs, I’m sure he would.

When the Cincinnati Bengals traded Chad Ochocinco to the New England Patriots on Thursday, the first question that came to most people’s mind was, “Can this work?”

I would like to go on record as saying “Yes it can!”  Sure, two of Chad’s last three seasons in Cincinnati have been far from impressive, but in 2009 he did put up over 1000 yards and nine touchdowns, and he recorded at least 1200 years and seven touchdowns in every season from 2004 to 2007.  Not to mention the fact that he had Carson Palmer throwing the ball to him, which is a far stretch from having Tom Brady throw the ball to you.

Ochocinco knows the opportunity that stands in front of him.  And if he ever forgets for a second, you can expect that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady will be quick to remind him.  He has also had a fairly clean bill of health throughout his career.  If he can stay healthy, he should thrive in the Patriots offense and may even reach double digit touchdowns for only the second time in his career.

Now it appears as though Ochocinco is letting that money ride on a shell game in the streets of Miami.

After trying the first one for free and getting it right, Ochocinco and the rest of the street gamblers were disrupted by a passing truck.  Apparently, that must have been a sign as it was enough to send Chad and his crew on their way.

During the 2009 season Ochocinco made $4.75 million, which works out to be just under $300K per game.  On Saturday night in Atlanta, the Bengals’ free agent wide receiver made $210K to ride a PBR bull named Deja Vu for only 1.5 seconds ($10k from PBR and $200k from sponsors).

So what should he do?  In all likelihood, Ochocinco’s next contract will be worth much less than his last, meaning his per-game average could be awfully close to the amount he made for his 1.5 second ride on Saturday.

So sixty minutes of guys trying to take your head off as you catch balls over the middle of the field, or risk being trampled on by a bull after riding it for less than two seconds?  Tough call.  That is one decision I’m glad I don’t have to make.

Ummmm…..Did I miss something here?

For those who may not know, that is former President Bill Clinton hanging out with Chad Ochocinco at a recent birthday diner for the Bengals’ wideout.  These two men just so happen to be two of the most popular figures in their respective fields (politics and football), but who knew Chad was such a proud supporter of the Democratic Party and best of friends with one of the greatest Democratic Presidents ever?

Perhaps eighty-five is just looking for some advice regarding the possibility of a post-football career in politics.  If so, he went to the right man.

It is no secret that Bengals wideout Chad Ochocinco is not afraid to strip naked and show some skin.  Especially when it is for a good cause.  And while we can’t quite explain why he decided to bare it all during his morning jog, or while playing the slots at a casino in Vegas, we can tell you that his most recent stripping was done in an effort to help promote animal rights during PETA’s latest advertising campaign.

Just one question: Although he may not be wearing any animal fur on his body, isn’t PETA also against the use of pigskin to cover up a male’s genitals?
