Climbing mountains of knives with your bare hands and feet, and jumping on shards of glass (once again with bare feet) are just a few of the traditional Yao Chinese sports. Another one of these “traditional sports” involves the use of a flaming ball during what some have described as an extreme form of basketball. I, on the other hand, would probably describe it as a real-life version of NBA Jam. the only difference here is that you don’t need to make three consecutive baskets to be “on fire.”

Anyways, it appears as though Reggie Miller and the Pacers have quite the following in China, as they have inspired one passionate group of Pacers fans to create the following video of Miller’s all-time greatest moments. He may be six years into his retirement, but in China it will always be “Miller Time.”

Unfortunately for him, both Nike and the internet censorship laws in China were unable to keep this video from going viral on YouTube.

As far as props go, this may very well be the worst I have ever seen. A giant shoe? Are you kidding me? I can think of about 100 things off the top of my head that would have been better than that. And what makes matters even worse is the fact that the shoe-jumping man, who goes by the name of Zhao Tai Long, didn’t even jump over the shoe! Instead, he jumped beside it…for precautionary reasons, I guess.

Sure, Blake Griffin may have only jumped over the front hood of that Kia Optima, but at least he jumped over it. Judging by the silence in the building following this poor excuse for a dunk, it seems as though the Chinese fans were just as disappointed as I am.

A man from Qingdao, China found that out after running into several problems following his purchase of a Lamborghini Gallardo. His first issue was the car’s inability to start, which is never a good thing for an automobile. In an attempt to resolve this problem, the owner had the car towed to a local dealership, but it underwent further damage while being transported there. With no one willing to step forward and take the blame, both the damage and the starting issue were left unresolved.

Unwilling to let this problem simply slip through the cracks, the owner decided to reach out to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, but no response was received. At that point, it became clear that the people at Lamborghini were not interested in taking up this issue, so the owner took matters into his own hands.

Looking to make a statement about the poor customer service at Lamborghini, he got together some men and some sledgehammers and began his public demonstration. Nothing says poor customer service quite like ten men taking their sledgehammers to a $750,000 car.

Take that Lamborghini!

First things first. The man in the video below wearing a football uniform is not actually a football player. He is New Zealand strongman Reuben de Jong, who currently holds the world record for running through panes of glass.

Now with that being said, upon first glance the decision here appears to be an easy one. After all, strongmen in football gear are supposed to be rock hard, while panes of glass can be quite fragile. And you know what they say about throwing rocks at a glass house. I would expect the same to apply when a rock-hard man runs into a sheet of glass.

But wouldn’t you know it, they appear to be manufacturing unbreakable glass in China, unlike in New Zealand, where the glass is believed to be quite weak. At least that seems to be the explanation Reuben was about to give during his post FAIL interview, before he decided to stop himself mid-sentence.

By the way, since when did breaking panes of glass while wearing football equipment make its way into the record books? Is there anything that the people at the Guinness World Records wont accept these days?

Whether she was speaking about her lack of sleep due to a snoring husband, he confusion over their wedding anniversary, or her mother’s refusal to watch her play, Li appeared to have won the crowd over with her quick wit and charming humor.

With the win, the 28-year-old became the first Chinese born female tennis player to enter a Grand Slam finals. Should she defeat Kim Clijsters during Saturday’s final, it could be the start of something big for tennis in China. Yao Ming has already shown us how the success of a Chinese athlete in their sport is enough to ignite a nationwide frenzy over it. So can Li Na do for tennis what Yao has already done for basketball?

As for Li’s greatest moment of the post-match interview, that came when she was asked what got her through the third set. Her answer? “Prize Money.”

It is funny how gymnasts are often made fun of at a young age by all the other bigger, badder jocks, but look who is laughing now. Where as those big football players appear vulnerable against oncoming trucks while riding their motorcycles, gymnasts may be able to escape the consequences of such fatal accidents by simply performing a 360° front flip, landing on their feet, and dusting themselves off following a crash….just like this guy, who is now being dubbed “Brother Gymnast”

Photos were taken of Nash playing some pickup basketball and kicking around the soccer ball in a friendly game while in the Chinese capital for promotional and charity work this past weekend. And to make things even more interesting, Nash wasn’t really Nash, or at least that was his plan. Unfortunately it failed miserably.

The All-Star Canadian wore a Chinese opera bandanna and some white protective goggles but that didn’t fool anyone:

“As soon as I walked on they recognized me. It didn’t really work.”

He played a while before heading over to a soccer field in the area to show off some more of his skills. If you ask me, it really should have been the “Nash Vs.” show rather than “Shaq Vs.”, unless you enjoy athletes suffering public humiliation.

Here are some of the photos taken of Nash during his day in China’s parks.
