Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Oregon Ducks

Holiday Bowl Game Preview

We have an outstanding catchup in this years Holiday Bowl, both the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Oregon Ducks have had outstanding, yet surprising seasons. The Cowboys have really been the ultimate surprise as they competed for a Big 12 South Championship early on before going 2-3 down the stretch.

The Oregon Ducks also got off to a strong start before they lost their second string quarterback, while already losing their No. 1, they called upon Jerimiah Masoli to take the reigns. Masoli has been exceptional for the Ducks, a team that ranks among the elite programs in scoring and rushing.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys also feature some explosivness on offense as their rushing attack is ranked 8th in the country, led by Kendall Hunter, the sophmore tail back rushed for over 1500 yards this season and racked up 14 rushing touchdowns. The Ducks also rank in the top 10 in rushing offense and they finished the season with wins in 5 of their last 6 games, included was an emotional victory against in-state rival Oregon State, costing the Beavers a chance to go to Pasadena and play in the Rose Bowl.

Holiday Bowl Game Prediction

This game should also feature a back and fourth affair as these two teams light up the scoreboard. The Cowboys should be more prepared defensively as they have played some tough opponents down the stretch in games that have had a lot at stake. The atmosphere should be nothing new to them, however, to make a selection with a line that is relatively small compared to the points that will be posted would be egocentric. We like the over regardless of the high total.
