In addition to calling the game a battle for the “NFC Least title,” the animated Taiwanese news team also predicted that the Giants would win by virtue of a late comeback, and they would eventually get their butts kicked in the playoffs by the Green Bay Packers or the New Orleans Saints (as a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, I can’t help but be insulted by such a statement).

If you’d like to see Michael Vick flying an eagle, Jerry Jones smacking Tony Romo’s rear and breathing fire onto head coach Jason Garrett, and Dan Snyder crying in a diaper, I suggest you watch the following video.

Opening day is something special, even for the most casual of baseball fans. It serves to let us know that winter is over, and we can shed our layers and get back outside. For the more die-hard fans, it represents the optimism of a new season and a look at the team you’ll be spending the next eight months with. And for everyone, it means beer and hot dogs until you can’t move. Here are the best cities for their home openers.

9. Arlington, Texas
Now, Texas has never really been a hotbed of baseball passion, but the success of the Rangers has given fans an optimism they’ve never had before. Couple that with the fact that March/April are the only two months that aren’t oppressively hot or cold all year, and the season opener is an event here that might actually be taking on some meaning. Stay tuned.

8. San Diego
San Diego doesn’t have the most engaged sports fans in the US, but that’s understandable. When one lives in a city as nice as SD, it seems a little silly to put too much stock in local sports teams when there’s so much you could be doing yourself. Well, the downtown charm of PETCO Park, combined with the fact that the weather in San Diego is always perfect means that this town makes the list, even if no one in the stadium can name your five-man rotation.

7. St. Louis
A baseball town through and through, Busch Stadium is Mecca for many baseball fans. Bob Costas, can live anywhere in the US, and he chooses St. Louis for the baseball. And if it’s good enough for Costas, don’t you think it’s good enough for you? What? You think you’re better than Costas? You’re dead wrong. I often find all the tradition and pageantry of baseball to be a little annoying, but if it’s your thing, there’s no better place to spend opening day than in St. Louis.

6. San Francisco
Granted, this year might be the best year ever to see the home opener in San Fran. In case you didn’t notice (spoiler alert!), they won the World Series. So a pretty strong baseball town is becoming an insufferably smug baseball town. And it was a pretty smug town to begin with. Of course, if you’re a Giants fan, you’ll be completely fine with the new attitude. And if you’re not…why the hell are you going to the Giants home opener?

Also, the opener will be great as you watch the fans distance themselves from Barry Bonds as his trial begins. “Barry who? Never heard of ‘em.”

5. Baltimore
Almost two decades into the life of Camden Yards and still universally agreed that this is the best place to watch Major League Baseball in the country. Even The Wire couldn’t set back Baltimore from a baseball standpoint. It’s a retro ballpark that isn’t all up in your face about it, it’s got stuff to do should the game get out of hand, and the food is said to be among the best in the country. Granted, they finished 30 games out of their division last year, but isn’t opening day all about optimism? I vote yes. That and getting drunk when you should be at work.

4. Philadelphia
Citizens Bank Park is a pretty good place to watch a game, save for the fact that it’s a little further outside of downtown than I would like. Phillies fans (or any Philadelphia sports fans) aren’t exactly my cup of tea, as they regularly hold contests to see who can project the most vomit on little girls and often beat orphans with socks full of batteries during the 7th inning stretch, but they’ve had a run of luck recently. Further, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” does the tailgate scene justice.

3. Atlanta
Having clenched the wild-card last year, things look up for the Braves. Like Texas, the weather in the ATL only lends itself to three bearable months per year, so gather ye rosebuds will you can, Braves fans. Granted, they might not have the rotation that they did in 1992, but lightening doesn’t strike twice.

2. Detroit
A .500 team in a city that’s looking more and more like cold-war Warsaw every day. Why would this park make the list? Because when so much is going wrong in Detroit, its residents have done a pretty spectacular job of banding around their sports teams for some semblance of optimism and community. Cause when you’re city is getting overrun with feral dogs, and all your hope is put into a rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame,” a special thing is happening.

1. New York (Yankees)
I know, I know. Red Sox fans, leave your death threats in the comments. There’s something about the first game in New York, when you see all the fans on the train, decked out in their gear that isn’t replicated anywhere in the nation, not even in Boston. Further, Boston, despite being three hours away, is a LOT colder than NYC is this time of year, creating a much more hospitable environment in the Bronx. You don’t have to like the Yankees, but you should probably respect them (if not their fans). Though their stadium is new(ish), they have done a good job of preserving the history of the most storied franchise in all of America’s sports history. Not a bad place to spend opening day.

Baseball is rarely regarded as a “sexy” sport. That’s probably due to its close associations with both Kevin Costner and chewing tobacco. But it’s a bum rap, regardless. There are hot MLB fans and fan bases, no doubt, but it’s hardly a universal phenomenon. For instance, would you believe that out of the below entries, the Cubs have six five girls representing? Or that the AL only has 3 out of 16 entries here? You want to talk about parity? There isn’t any when it comes to MLB hotties. There is a concentration of power that even Bud Selig would admit is bad for the sport. Those poor Brewers. Not only did they not get a girl to make the list, but they didn’t even have a girl turn up in my Internet searches. Can we get a hot-girl expansion draft for the smaller markets?
15. Cubs
This list could end up making the Cubs like the Red Sox, where they quickly go from scrappy underdog to insufferable juggernaut. I’ve dealt with cocky Chicago fans during the MJ era, and I can’t say it’s a pleasure.
14. Phillies
The National League reign of terror is in full swing. There is no sense in fighting it. If you’re a Cleveland or Seattle fan, please allow me to show you the door. There are no designated hitters allowed on this list. Ok, maybe a couple. But not many.
13. Dodgers
See what I mean? No DH’s. Harold Baines wouldn’t have lasted a second among this bunch. He’d be chewing sunflower seeds.
12. Phillies
I’m seeing triple! Nine hot Phillies fans!
11. Cubs
I’ve been to a lot of baseball games (too many, actually) and I’ve never seen anyone remotely resembling this girl. Granted, I’ve never been to Wrigley field. I’ve mostly been to the Ballpack in Arlington which houses women that look like, well, ballparks.
10. They’re from Chicago and they’re not the White Sox
Marissa Miller is a Cubs fan? I’m going out and buying a Cubs hat today. I’m running, not walking to that store.
9. Uh, Cubs
Full disclosure: I’m not sure this chick is an actual fan. She looks more like a model that’s dressed up in Cubs gear (or painted up) for some other purpose. Still, the Cubs got her and your team didn’t. I think most of their payroll goes to models and Marissa Miller.
8. Phillies
I’m not entirely sure those trousers would offer much in the way of protection should she have to slide into second.
7. Red Sox
She went out like this, apparently. She is one of two women in Boston that can pull off that outfit. Right out of frame every man in the city of Boston is fighting over the privilege of buying her a drink.
6. C-U-B-S
I’m not entirely sure what this stance is all about. It looks wildly uncomfortable. But they went for realism here, as they even went for the spikes, so who are we to question them?
5. Orioles
Ok. I actually saw this image with like 10 different hats Photoshopped on this chick. I went with the Orioles version, because, after “The Wire,” Baltimore could use the boost.
4. Giants
In the land of hot girls, this chick is a GIANT.
3. Mets
She’s not going to worry about pulling a muscle because of all this vigorous stretching.
2. Those Damn Yankees
She looks way better in pinstripes than Yogi Berra did.
1. Giants

Fun fact: all Giants fans are underfed vegan hippies that are totally hot. ALL of them.

Total Pro Sports - Now that Michael Strahan is more than a year removed from the NFL maybe he should consider working as an undercover police. Or maybe he would be even better for a spot on the popular television show Cheaters, where people hire them to go undercover and investigate whether their loved ones are cheating on them. But for now, it appears as though Strahan would rather just do that dirty work himself.

Reports indicate that the former New York Giant Defensive End suspected his girlfriend Nicole Murphy (ex-wife of comedian Eddie Murphy) of cheating so he planted a tracking device in her car. If that wasn’t enough, he also was infuriated when she found out about it. The device provided Michael with her location, but there was a valid reason for him to suspect something had been going on.

Nicole Murphy reportedly had a fling with Universal Records A&R executive Demetrius Spencer. They would exchange emails professing their love for one another and take exotic getaways together. Spencer and Murphy have since called it quits after the latest device was found in the car. Sources indicate that it was found by mechanics at a luxury dealership where Nicole had taken her Range Rover. When Strahan found out, he made his way to the dealership and snapped. The post described the situation as follows:

“Murphy and Spencer went to have lunch while the tracer – which one source said provided up-to-the-minute location status – was removed. Seconds later, Strahan barged into the garage, “yelling and screaming,” a source said. Spotting Murphy’s car with the tracking device exposed, Strahan walked over, ripped it off the dashboard and stormed out of the shop.”

Strahan and Murphy have decided to stay together due in large part to the fact that her 5 kids have developed a strong relationship with the now NFL commentator. As for Strahan’s antics? Well this isn’t the first time he has done this. During his messy divorce trial in 2006 with ex-wife Jean, he was accused of using spy-ware to tap the phone, and he also video recorded her sister getting undressed.

Wow Mr. Strahan. I’m impressed. You would think that only someone coming from the New England Patriots would be as familiar and effective with spy-ware technology. Guess we were wrong.

The Lions against the Titans was an absolute joke, a 47-10 beating for the Titans. The Lions barley looked good enough to beat a High School Team from Toronto.

At least one positive came from this game. If you selected the Titans in their Survivor pool your moving onto the next week, congratulations.

The blame can’t all go the NFL, because they really don’t know how good teams will be in the upcoming season. But before making the schedule and slotting teams on Thanksgiving, they should determine the games based on the previous years records. Match ups like the Giants and Cowboys or the Patriots and Colts are games the public would love to watch.

Other then Sunday and Monday Night football, Thanksgiving is the next most watched games on national television. Do you ever remember a Sunday or Monday night game being as bad as these games on Thanksgiving today?

So the blame can’t all go to the Lions game but was anyone interested in watching the 4:00 match up between the Cowboys and Seahawks?…….Everyone at our office wasn’t, they were more interested in The Hulk on Pay Per View.

So who ever makes the schedule for the NFL and specifically Thanksgiving Day, all were asking is to put a little more thought in planning the games for Turkey Day.

They are looking like the team to beat in AFC especially after the Colts beat the Steelers.

Finally, there was good game on Sunday night as the Giants and Eagles had a prime time slug fest. The Giants definitely look like the cream of the NFC crop and look like they intend on defending their title.

What a week for fantasy football as more than a few players put up some monster stat lines. Thomas Jones and Maurice Jones-Drew both found the end zone 3 times and Adrian Peterson tore up the Packers to lead the Vikings to a big divisional win. Lets see which players made our list this week.

Here is the complete list of the best Fantasy Football Players Of Week 10.

Best Offensive Player – Jay Cutler, QB, Denver Broncos.

Cutler decided to rain on the Brady Quinn parade by orchestrating a comeback late in the game to propel the Broncos to a big win over the Browns. Cutler completed 24 passes for 447 yards and three touchdowns, if i didn’t know any better I would swear I was looking at the stat line of a CFL quarter back. The Broncos are now in solid position to take the AFC West.

Honorable mention: Thomas Jones, RB, New York Jets.

Best Offensive Rookie – Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons,

The rookie wall does not exist in Matt Ryan’s universe as he continues to get better with every start. This past Sunday he completed 16 passes for 248 and 2 touchdowns. He looks to be a strong contender for Rookie of the Year, but don’t rule out Flacco or Forte just yet. I wonder if Vick gets to watch any Falcons games from Jail? At least when he gets out he will have a job with the Raiders.

Honorable mention: Eddie Royal, WR, Denver Broncos.

Best Defensive Player – Julius Peppers, DE, Carolina Panthers.

After a sluggish start to the season Peppers had a big day against the Raiders. He accounted for 7 tackles, 3 sacks and two forced fumbles. So what if these stats came against Andrew “The Statue” Walter, they still count. The Panthers offense looked horrible in this one as the Raiders defense kept the game closer than most people expected.

Honorable mention: Dwight Freeney, DE, Indianapolis Colts.

Best Defensive Rookie – Chevis Jackson, CB, Atlanta Falcons.

The rookie from LSU had himself a huge day as he helped to get the Falcons a big win. Chevis had only 1 tackle and 1 pick, but he took it 95 yards the opposite way for a touchdown. Jackson was taken by the Falcons in the 3rd round of this years draft and looks to have all the tools to succeed in the NFL. Second year conerback Chris Houston, also had a big game with two picks for the much improved Falcons defense.

Honorable mention: Glenn Dorsey, DT, Kansas City Chiefs.

Remember to check back next week for the best Fantasy Football Players of week 11.

The Cowboys Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger both struggled in place of starter Tony Romo.

Bryon Leftwich stepped in for Big Ben on Monday night and led the Steelers to an impressive victory. Ryan Fitzpatrick helped the Bengals get their first win, and Even Rex Grossman a hand in his team beating the Lions.

It is only fitting that this week our Offensive player of the week is Gus Frerotte, who started the year on the bench. Our offensive rookie of the week is Joe Flacco, who was supposed to backup Troy Smith this season but that all changed when Smith was fell ill during the preseason and the rest is history.

Here is the complete list of the best Fantasy Football Players Of Week 9.

Best Offensive Player – Gus Frerotte, QB, Minnesota Vikings.
No, this is not a typo; Gus Frerotte is the offensive player of the week, in our opinion. Call it a slow week for Fantasy Football but, Grampa Gus had himself a dandy of a game. Frerotte completed 11 out of 18 passes and had 3 touchdowns. The Vikings seem to be in much better shape now the Frerotte is the starter and Jackson is nailed to the bench.

Honorable mention: Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants.

Best Offensive Rookie – Joe Flacco, QB, Baltimore Ravens.
Flaccos appearance on this list has been long over due and this past Sunday he put together a fine game. He completed 17 passes for 248 yards adding 2 touchdowns. Flacco Looks to have all the tools necessary to be a franchise quarter back in the NFL. The Ravens managed to win a Superbowl with Trent Dilfer, so the sky is the limit for Flacco.

Honorable mention: Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons.

Best Defensive Player – John Abraham, DE, Atlanta Falcons.
The new look Falcons have benefited a great deal from the stellar play of John Abraham, who continues to torment opposing quarter backs. This past week he managed to take down Russell 3 times, which gives him 10 sacks this season. Abraham is putting together a solid year and could be in the running for defensive MVP.

Honorable mention: Justin Tuck, DE, New York Giants.

Best Defensive Rookie – Brandon Carr, DB, Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs came close to upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday and rookie Brandon Carr, had the best game of his young career. The Grand Valley State product made 4 tackles and 1 interception to keep the Chiefs in the game. The Chiefs seem to have found a solid pair of corners in this years draft as Brandon Flowers has also had some big games this season.

Honorable mention: Pat Sims, DB, Chicago Bears.

Remember to check back next week for the best Fantasy Football Players of week 10.

Total Pro Sports – Some major changes to our NFL Power Rankings this week.

What can we say about the Washington Redskins again this week. Falling behind 14-0 to the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday and rebounding to win the game and move to 4-1. Did anyone expect Jason Cambell to quarterback his team to such a great start so far? We didn’t.

The Tennessee Titans are again the #1 ranked team in our NFL Power Rankings with a tough win against the Baltimore Ravens.

The biggest loser this week was the Green Bay Packers losing to the Atlanta Falcons, which saw them drop 9 spots to #23. The Green Bay Packerslost at home to the surging Falcons, lead by the Big 3 of Ryan, Turner, and White. What can we say about the San Diego Chargers? Coming into the season they were favored to win the Super Bowl. Now it looks as if they might receivea top 8 draft pick in next years draft. The Chargers lost 8 spots to #17, after loosing to the now .500 Miami Dolphins. Week 5 saw some huge drops in our weekly NFL Power Rankings.

The biggest gainer of the week were the Chicago Bears who jumped 8 spots to #11, with an easy win over the Detroit “Lowly” Lions. I guess its true, no offense + great defense = success in the NFL. The Arizona Cardianls seem to be back in business after that ugly loss to the Jets the other week. They came back to Glendale, Arizona and roughed up the entire Bills team. They were our second biggest gainer in our week 5 NFL Power Rankings gaining 7 spots from #19 to #12.

It seems after week 5, teams are finding their stride and getting postioned properly in there deserving spot on the Power Rankings

Lets take a look at the rest of the league: NFL Power Rankings for week 6

5-0

Another hard earned win by the Titans, it seems it’s never easy against the Ravens. This team does a lot of things very well, which allows Kerry Collins to blend in and manage the offense. Up Next: Bye Week

The Dallas Cowboys remain as the most powerful team in the NFL with a win over the Packers on their home turf. The Bills also had another solid week by taking care of the Raiders.

The two biggest losersthis week were the Indianapolis Colts losing a close divisional match-up against the Jaguars, which saw them drop eight spots. The New York Jets also fell eight spots after a loss on the road to the Chargers.

The biggest gainers were the Washington Redskins who jumped eight spots with a big win over the Arizona Cardinals. Also the Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both jumped 6 spots after two big wins.

Another week, another solid game for Kerry Collins and the new look Titans. They are now in first places in the AFC south and continue to play well. They look about as complete as any team in the league as they have a solid offense to go with their great defense.
