Just a few minutes into the game, the hawk took of and perched himself on the backboard, causing a minor delay. Then it landed on the TNT camera, before interrupting the game a second time, resting again on the backboard. The trainer was finally able call the bird back to his arm and take it off the court.

Its too bad for the Atlanta Hawk fans that the only player able to take off after that last night was Heat star Dwyane Wade. The Miami guard put up 33 points (six 3-pointers), 7 assists, and 5 rebounds to lead his team to a 108-93 win and even the series up at 1-1. Getting the split in Atlanta, the Heat will now go back home taking home-court advantage from the Hawks. We don’t count on seeing anything fly around back in Miami. Can someone explain how a “Heat” could fly.

Here’s the footage of the hawk incident from last nights game.

The large crop of players that are scheduled to become free agents, or can opt out of their contract, following the 2009-10 season include Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Manu Ginobili and none other than your highness, Lebron James. Most believe the Knicks to be large players in what will likely be a superstar sweepstakes, and Spike Lee is out there scouting the talent.

Sunday night, Lee was at Phillips Arena in Atlanta with actor Bill Murray watching the Hawks take on James’ Cavs. Murray was in town shooting a film. As for Spike? Maybe he was just looking for another sneak preview of what likely may be in a couple years.
