Holland impressed everyone, including FOX commentators Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, with his own rendition of Ron Washington pulling him from the game, and his Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t too shabby either. But it goes without saying that his specialty is his Harry Caray impersonation.

And while Monday may have been the first time many of us witnessed Holland perform his Harry Caray impersonation, it wasn’t the first time he did it for the cameras this season. During the hot summer months, when the Rangers were climbing the AL West standings, Derek Holland/Harry Caray sat down with Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler, and hilarity ensued.

Check it out.

The first came with one out and a runner on first in the bottom of the fourth, as Andrus and second baseman Ian Kinsler turned a ground ball up the middle into an inning-ending double play. That was just the start.

The second, and even more miraculous play, came in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two outs and runners at first and second, Andrus turned what appeared to be a sure RBI single into a game-saving diving grab, as he flipped the ball to Kinsler with his glove to get the force-out at second base and end the inning.

Both plays by Andrus and Kinsler would help prevent Rangers’ pitcher Colby Lewis from giving up the big inning, as Texas kept things close and used a two-run ninth inning to give them the 2-1 victory.

Baseball may be a game of statistics, but the only stat that can properly measure the importance of Andrus’ two plays in the infield last night is the win, which is the only stat that really matters at this time of the year.

Here is a look at Andrus’ great work with the glove.

With 27 hits and 20 runs scored during their 20-6 victory, we could probably dedicate this honor to the entire Texas Rangers line-up, but if we had to pick one player (which we do), it would be Ian Kinsler. The Rangers’ second baseman led the offensive charge, going 4-for-6 at the plate with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four RBIs. It was his first multi-hit game in his last six starts and it helped him earn the “Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, July 25, 2011.

With Detroit up 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, no outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, Gerald Laird lined one up the middle and into the glove of Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler for the first out. He tossed it to 2nd base where shortstop Elvis Andrus would get the force at second, then tag the Tigers runner caught between 2nd and 1st. The sad part is Kinsler could have likely done this all unassisted, but was kind enough to include Andrus.

So was there anything that didn’t go right for the Rangers? How about the final score, which was 5-3 in favor of the Tigers. Talk about putting the great play to waste.

Here it is for your enjoyment in case you missed it.

This one of the greatest single player achievements in baseball. So why isn’t anyone talking about it? Not even 24 hours later, ESPN doesn’t even have it as a headline in their baseball section.

Texas and Baltimore are two of the highest scoring teams in baseball so far this season. That should make them at least a little interesting to watch, right. Apparently not. With so few fans coming out to support these teams, there were only 17,539 people at the Arlington Stadium last night, it appears no one even noticed this happened. The game was a blow out and most people had probably stopped watching by the bottom of the 6th inning. The Rangers were already up 13-4 when Kinsler hit the triple to complete the cycle. I get it, the game was for all intents and purposes over. But I still don’t understand how this isn’t bigger news.

How is more important that we know about who the Yankees but on the DL? Hitting the cycle is a feat worthy of attributing to Chuck Norris. But it was actually another Texas Ranger, Ian Kinsler who achieved this spectacular feat. I hope he gets a standing ovation at the game tonight.

Congrats, Mr. Kinsler
