Kawhi Leonard played college basketball at San Diego State and entered the 2011 NBA Draft. He was drafted 15th overall by the Indiana Pacers, but was immediately traded to the San Antonio Spurs. He played for the Spurs for seven seasons, helping lead them to an NBA Championship in 2014.
In 2019, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he also lead the team to an NBA Championship. He became one of only three players to win Finals MVP with multiple teams, along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James. He signed with the Clippers in 2019 with a three-year, $103 million contract. He had a season-ending injury in the 2020–21 season and underwent surgery to repair a partial tear of the ACL in his right knee. He remained inactive during the 2021–22 season to recover from surgery but returned in October of 2022.
