The war of words between the Kardashians and Kris Humphries has reached new heights, as a celebrity tabloid is claiming that Kim Kardashian believes Kris is gay.

The cover of this week’s Star Magazine reads, “Kim’s Bombshell: Kris is Gay.”  The news comes only a few weeks after the couple announced their split following a brief 72-day marriage.

So what would lead Kim to believe that the former Nets power forward is not attracted to females?  According to Star Magazine, via She Knows Entertainment:

“Kim confided to Khloe pretty early on that [she and Kris] hadn’t had sex for weeks after they returned home from their Italian honeymoon. Kim was really concerned.”

“One night she came back to their hotel room in a trench coat… She lit candles, put on some music and started doing a sexy striptease. But Kris barely looked up from the TV! He was like, ‘Later babe. I’m watching SportsCenter now.’”

“Khloe asked Kim if she thought Kris might be gay. At first Kim thought that was ridiculous. But the more she thought about it, the more she wondered. There were signs.”

No sex for weeks?  Turning down a striptease?  Come on now Kris!  I know you probably thought you had plenty of sex-filled years with Kim ahead of you, but can’t the SportsCenter highlights wait until the morning?

***Update: Kris’ ex-girlfriend, Bianca Kamber, has gone on record claiming Humphries is “absolutely not” gay.  That should settle this debate…or does it?

Being a player in the NBA, you would think that by now Humphries would be comfortable being in a room with naked black men.  However, that is far from the case, and he is even less comfortable when he finds his wife in that very same scenario.

Here is a look at Humphries walking in on Kim K and her friends while they enjoy a naked yoga session.  Was this the beginning of the end?

Make no mistake about it.  The images below are not of Reggie Bush’s old girlfriend, Kim Kardashian.  That is Melissa Molinaro in those picture, and yes, she looks a lot like Kim K.  In fact, she recently appeared in an Old Navy commercial as a Kim K look-alike, resulting in a lawsuit which has been filed by Kardashian against the American clothing brand.

Here is a closer look at Molinaro, a.k.a. the other important piece that Miami acquired in their trade for Reggie Bush.

Perhaps “groupies” is too strong a word, considering these girls’ identities don’t exactly hinge on who they date. But “serial athlete daters” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, so let’s run with groupies, no? For one reason or another, these women have found comfort in the arms of athletes, and, strangely enough, not the best ones, either. However, love is blind, you’ve gotta kiss a lot of frogs, etc….

Here are 5 celebs that just can’t seem to resist the jocks.

5. Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano has dated a LOT of people, so to call her a sports groupie because she has dated three baseball players might be jumping the gun. But go ahead and label me a gun-jumper.

In addition to dating actor’s Corey Haim, Brian Krause, and a young Justin Timberlake, Milano seems to carry a flame for pitchers, having been linked romantically to Barry Zito, Carl Pavano, and Brad Penny. Nice. These days, she’s married to a non-pitcher, and offers that her days of dating athletes are behind her. One would hope so, considering, you know, she’s married.

Despite swearing off baseball players, she still remains a Dodger fan, but I would keep her a few rows back, just to be safe.

4. Kim Kardashian

The queen bee of sports groupies has a couple notches in her belt. Or bedpost, if you will. Ms. Kardashian has made short work of all these guys in about two years, so maybe we can just chalk it up to being a phase. However, that phase appears ready to end with her engagement to Kris Humphries, a power forward for the Nets. He exists at the (hopefully) tail of a tear that included a lengthy relationship with Heisman winner Reggie Bush and then quickly moved on to Cowboys wideout Miles Austin, then Portuguese football god Cristiano Ronaldo, who almost looks as manufactured as Kim K. does.

What is it that draws her to athletes? Two are famous and two decidedly less so. Is it the attention? Or is she secretly a sports nut? I would guess the former, but, not being a Kardashian Konfidant, I just can’t be sure.

3. Elisha Cuthbert

Hockey girl has seen some action from the likes of Sean Avery and Dion Phaneuf, the current captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs whom she has been seeing for several years. She was at the center of a controversy (if you call Sean Avery being an insufferable dick a “controversy”) when Avery called out her new relationship with Phaneuf, making a comment about Cuthbert being his “sloppy seconds.” Avery’s history of behavioral problems came to a head with this comment, and the NHL suspended him for six games, at the end of which, his team, the Dallas Stars, severed ties with him.

Nonetheless, Cuthbert and Phaneuf seem to be happy, whereas Sean Avery will always be a reviled jerk of WWE proportions.

2. Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson had established herself as a perhaps the most infamous athlete girlfriend in recent memory during her relationship with up-and-coming Dallas Cowboys QB Tony “backwards hat” Romo. During this time she, was labeled a “distraction,” due to the Cowboys’ erratic performance, though she seemed to distract the media and fans a hell of a lot more than the team or Romo.

A staple in the stands during home and most away games, Simpson was eventually compelled to retreat to luxury suites, then to sports bars to watch the games due to pressure from the media.

Her disappearance led to one of Dallas’ ugliest seasons in memory, so maybe it wasn’t Jessica Simpsons fault that the Cowboys weren’t playing well, but it sure was a nice excuse.

Simpson is now engaged to former 49ers tight end Eric Johnson, which gives her the luxury of going out with a football player and not being blamed for ruining a team.

1. Carrie Underwood

Underwood dated Tony Romo before Jessica Simpson and was lucky enough to emerge unscathed from the relationship. Underwood had made a name for herself as a country singer who was crowned the champion of the fourth season of ‘American Idol’. Though she denied ever having a relationship with him, Tony put their status in no uncertain terms on his website, saying bluntly, “…I’m dating Carrie Underwood.” Hard to misinterpret that. However, their romance didn’t last too much longer and in August of 2007, she was dating Zac Efron Sr., also known as Chace Crawford.

In July 2010, Underwood tied the know with Ottawa Senator Mike Fisher. However, like Simpson did with her ex, Underwood faced some hard times after Fisher was traded to Nashville. A local radio station banned her music, implying that she was a factor in his decision to leave. All parties maintain that this wasn’t the case, and the radio station apologized. Good times!

Lockett had previously come out with the news that he and Kim K were having an affair while the tabloid princess was dating her soon-to-be husband, Kris Humphries.  Lockett claims that he and Kim exchanged numbers through mutual friends and during one of their conversations Kardashian was playing with herself over the phone.

I must admit, it may not be as far as other  male athletes have gone when it comes to conquering the many mountains on Kim K’s body, but listening to Kim K play with herself over the phone is still awfully impressive for a player that has only seven tackles in ten career NFL games.

Tough call, but I think I would opt for the latter.  After all, there is no guarantee that LeBron will be getting a ring for his work in the playoffs thus far, and even if he does get that ring, I think I would take the ring that says I won Kim K’s heart over the ring that says I won an NBA Championship.

Few things are better than a hot female sports fan. One of those things is a famous hot female sports fan. When the cameras scan the crowd, it’s normally just a bunch of dudes and unknown females. But every so often, you get autonomously devout practitioners. There exist a bunch of different reasons why they’re out there doing what they’re doing, but the easiest thing to do is just accept it and enjoy the scenery.

9. Kim Kardashian – Lakers

Sure, she’s the sister of a wife (Khloe) of a player (Lamar Odom), but the Kardashians have been a big name on the scene long before Lamar showed up. Further, it seems that Kim may actually enjoy the spotlight (more on this as it develops), so what better place to appear than a Laker game?

8. Elisha Cuthbert – LA Kings

This Canadian actress has hockey in her blood. And yes, she did for a while date Los Angeles King and douchebag extraordinaire Sean Avery. But that was actually because she was originally a fan, not the other way around. And one would have to be pretty devoted to date that guy. She is currently seeing Toronto Maple Leaf, Dion Phaneuf, but like any loyal fan, that hasn’t stopped her from cheering for the silver and black.

7. Katie Holmes – LA Galaxy

This one is probably due to the fact that her and her husband are friends with Posh and Becks, but since she’s not married or dating anyone on the team herself, she’s eligible. Granted, she’s not rocking the jersey, but if there’s a game in town, chances are you can find Holmes and Suri posting up, watching the match, even if Cruise is filming MI:4 or fighting Xenu or whatever.

6. Jennifer Love Hewitt – Celtics

I don’t know “why” a Los Angeles-based actress born in Waco, Texas, loves the Boston Celtics. What’s important is that she does. And she reps the team faithfully, flying her colors at many Celtic home games, despite living a daunting 3,000 miles away. Yeah, she looks pretty good doing it. Her favorite Celtic is Ray Allen, so Ray, if you’re not picking up the phone, you are doing yourself a disservice.

5. Hilary Swank – Lakers

Swank has been in Hollywood for 20 years and has long considered herself a big fan of sports in general, but there must be something more than that, cause she seems to appear at EVERY Laker game. She’s like the female Jack Nicholson, only not completely round. And, unlike Jack, she seems to enjoy herself at the games.

4. Anna Kournikova – Heat

She and Enrique live in Miami. Where did you think they lived, Cleveland? Together, this celebrity power couple can be seen at nearly every Heat game, sitting courtside and looking good. Now, I’m not sure if she’s attending because Enrique wants her there, or if she’s the bigger fan (I haven’t talked to her since we dated), but the fact is that she’s on the floor, cheering them on every game, so as long as she’s there as a fan, she’s on the list.

3. Keira Knightley – West Ham

After becoming an actress and moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Knightley was very concerned about where she could catch the West Ham games she had been watching since she was a little girl. Well, enter Sonny McLean’s, the Santa Monica sports bar that fills up for soccer games at 6 AM and stays full till the last one goes off. If she is stuck on the west coast, and not shooting a film, you can probably catch her there if West Ham is playing.

2. Eliza Dushku – Celtics

She has been seen dating Rick Fox, which doesn’t explain why she’s a Celtic fan instead of a Laker fan, so she’s still allowed on the list. No one on this list, except for maybe #1, reps their team’s colors as often, or as well. And unlike Kim K. and the like, Dushku seems to do it for no other reason than she loves the team. The fact that she’s smoking hot is just a bonus.

1. Ashley Judd – Kentucky

Hands down, the winner. No one has been more vocal in their support of a squad than Judd has for the Wildcats. Why? Well, she grew up in Lexington, then was Phi Beta Kappa at UK. I’m sure readers would like a much more compelling story, but it’s that simple. Isn’t that why most people root for a college? Judd can be found at most every UK tourney game sporting her colors, making her the best female fan in this great nation.
