Ferrari have endured a disappointing campaign in 2009, and with only two races remaining in the season, it all seemed to go up in flames at the Sao Paulo track, literally.

With Kimi Raikkonen‘s Ferrari and Heikki Kovalainen‘s McLaren Mercedes both making pit stops, Raikkonen pulled out but found himself behind his fellow Finish counterpart.  To make matters worse, when Kovalainen drove out of his lane, he took the fuel hose with him, spraying gas onto the trailing Ferrari and eventually lighting it on fire with his exhaust.

Raikkonen’s car went up in flames for a brief moment before going out.  Members of the Brawn team would help detach the hose from Kovelainen’s car and both driver would finish the race.  Unfortunately, neither would light up the track in a similar fashion.

However, with the type of luck Ferrari team members have endured thus far this year, coming out of this one unscathed should be though of as a victory.
